Loads of young women wear the legging version at my gym. They look amazing. I'd love to have the bottom to wear them but sadly I am old and have a flat arse.

MissMarplesGoddaughter · 20/04/2024 18:03

Normal wear for young women in SE London....

Also East London

SuziQuinto · 20/04/2024 20:14

These are nothing like the hotpants we used to wear in the 70s, which were basically short shorts, often with a bib.
They were usually of an unpleasant polyester construction and most definitely did not have the bum scrunch.

@MyBigBounty

I didn't say people had to agree with my opinion about them.

I said you need to stop criticising the women who wear them.

Bitching about other women and what they choose to wear is not a good look.

It’s normal to check with others to see if they also have a WTF reaction to something. Clearly people do with these leggings!

picolosmum · 20/04/2024 20:16

Imo only the attention seeking women do. No need for it.

All I can say is, good luck telling nobody to have an opinion about anything. The whole 'policing women' thing is getting tired, we're all wome. We have opinions about women's clothing, obviously

Kpo58 · 20/04/2024 20:19

If men wore them, they would be seen as indecent...

PinkyBlueMe · 20/04/2024 20:19

Weirdly I have just realised this is what some wear at the gym I go to. I had seen people with well defined bum cracks but hadn't realised it was the legging/short style.
Can't say I'm a fan but I'm 56 so no one wants to see me in them.

Womblingmerrily · 20/04/2024 20:20

People aren't expressing opinions - they're expressing distaste and judgment at what other people wear, and also those people as individuals

'only attention seeking women do it'
'plastic people at my gym wear them'
'it's indecent'
vomit reaction emojis - particularly when describing size 20 women that wear them

Blankspace35 · 20/04/2024 20:22

Ive not seen anyone wear them at my gym, or anywhere in fact

Newestname002 · 20/04/2024 20:28

greengreyblue · 20/04/2024 18:03

DD has some full
length ones for the gym. They do t give blisters or she wouldn’t wear them.

Or thrush?

CarterBeatsTheDevil · 20/04/2024 20:36

I had no idea big bums were in! I'll put last season's small bum away (I wish)

TheFormidableMrsC · 20/04/2024 20:38

I see them a lot! I don't mind if it's on a nice bum 🙃

walnutcoffeecake · 20/04/2024 20:40

Just another way to looked at.

MRSRUDEBOX · 20/04/2024 20:41

I paid a pound for a pair from a charity shop. I just want to see whether they are comfy and whether they do anything for my flat arse

Biscoffisthebest · 20/04/2024 20:46

And @MRSRUDEBOX did they work? I have a very flat bum, I’m intrigued…

Help me with 'strong bum'. What is a strong bum, how does one achieve it, how does it benefit etc?

I have spent most of my life trying to keep my bum small and avoid people gawping at it, so I genuinely don't understand this concept.

AGlinnerOfHope · 20/04/2024 20:54

Yep, was walking behind a woman in a nude pair of leggings yesterday. They were definitely scrunch bum leggings, let’s say.

That made me think of the classic Jim Royle quote. To paraphrase:

"I paid a quid for these scrunch-bum shorts and I've still got 95pence-worth stuck up me arse!"

Not tried them yet but I will report my findings.

So specific! I was about to post, “you’re not from South London are you @clearmoon?” but this. Exactly.

ballsdeep · 20/04/2024 20:58

Loads of teens wear them around here 🤢🤮

AngelinaFibres · 20/04/2024 21:02

Katelynn88 · 20/04/2024 18:05

I think they're horrible. Why would you want you meet in public to know exactly what your bare bum looks like. Most of the people I see wearing them don't have an amazing bum which you need to pull them off. People can wear whatever they like for sure, but they don't look good.

I've seen several people wearing them. They didn't have the bum cheeks for them. Saw a teen girl wearing a pair on a family outing with parents and grandad. My mum would not have let me out of the house in them. If you have the arse they are intended for they are appalling. If you don't they are appalling.

BloodandGlitter · 20/04/2024 21:02

Nothing like women to tear other women apart. Bad as men thinking women need to dress how it pleases you.

Keeprejoining · 20/04/2024 21:03

SuziQuinto · 20/04/2024 19:03

Do you do glass or ceramic? I'd love to find a mosaic class (off topic)

It was a one day course. I think it was advertised in an art shop
