Cropped tops have an interesting history, apparently. I read that way back they came about as a way for men to show off when they were made to cover up in the gym.

Same article said that its only later they shifted to become mostly popular amongst women and gay men, for reasons. Not all men want to show off, but its definitely a thing, however the torso and arms tend to be prioritised. Who knows, maybe the whole body could become more of a thing?

Nah, I've never ever seen a man wearing a cropped top designed to show off his torso - it's simply never happened!
