They seem to be in vogue (with Lycra crop tops) for the heavily pregnant Mancunian Mama to be. I’m told It’s not naff to be nearly nekkid…I beg to differ.

DanglingMod · 20/04/2024 19:13

They're absolutely everywhere!

I think I also spotted some scrunch bum formal/work type trousers in town today 🤮

Good grief, I'm that size I would never ever inflict that on anyone, it would put people off their food.

I'm also of an age where it would be extremely inappropriate anyway

LlynTegid · 20/04/2024 19:14

I saw someone with them on my train journey this afternoon.

Thmssngvwlsrnd · 20/04/2024 19:17

I'm guessing you couldn't wear them with a sanitary towel/Tena in place..

LifeofBrienne · 20/04/2024 19:18

Somehow I’ve never noticed these in real life (London), only seen pics on this and another MN thread. Quite glad to have missed out on this ‘Look At My Arsecrack’ leggings trend if the pictures are anything to go by.

madroid · 20/04/2024 19:19

I just hate seeing other women's labia. Put IT AWAY😁

Elebag · 20/04/2024 19:21

Some youngsters wear them at the gym they don't work out that hard mind you.
I do tend to do a double take, nearly fell off the treadmill when I saw a girl in a flesh toned pair.

Whygobald · 20/04/2024 19:22

I have a nice vulva with neat labia. I can't wait for the crotchless denims fashion to kick in. There's be so comfortable too and they'd keep me cool.

Womblingmerrily · 20/04/2024 18:33

I see them a lot in the gym - they're just a type of cycling shorts that emphasise the glutes - I've heard them call booty shorts.

It's gym gear so yes it's tight. They're not my sort of thing but for those who are young enough and confident enough to wear them, leave them alone.

Stop policing women's clothes.

Stop policing womens opinions, we don't all need to agree with you about an item of clothing Smile

EnglishBluebell · 20/04/2024 19:36

I have to turn away whenever I see them. It makes me feel sick COVER YOURSELVES UP! Nobody needs to see the full outline of each buttock

Beezknees · 20/04/2024 19:41

underscorer · 20/04/2024 18:59

They're the polar opposite of classy or dignified. You may as well walk around naked.

I mean, I wouldn't wear them but I don't aspire to look classy or dignified either. Sounds dull.

DuesToTheDirt · 20/04/2024 19:45

Women at my gym wear them. I find it really hard not to stare at them (in a WTF kind of way).

NoisySnail · 20/04/2024 19:45

I have seen women wearing them in public, admittedly not often, but on a number of occasions.

HelpMeUnpickThis · 20/04/2024 19:46

TheHeadOfTheHouse · 20/04/2024 18:01

People do wear them as I’ve seen one mum in particular with them on on the school run.

i can’t stop looking at her arse in them as it makes it look massive and really stand out

@TheHeadOfTheHouse i think that is the point of them!

CurlyhairedAssassin · 20/04/2024 19:57

They're nothing, haven't you seen those new camel toe ones?

BigMandsTattooPortfolio · 20/04/2024 20:03

I’m kind of struggling to imagine myself in a pair but unfortunately, the image which immediately springs to mind is me walking down the street with my ruched fake arse, followed by gangs of mocking children.

Womblingmerrily · 20/04/2024 20:08

@Maelil01 What you deem appropriate is entirely personal to you.

It does not create the standard that all other women must follow.

Again, stop policing/judging/criticising women's clothes and the women who choose to wear things you don't like.

CurlyhairedAssassin · 20/04/2024 20:08

bradpittsbathwater · 20/04/2024 18:47

This reminds me of hot pants I used to wear pre teen 🤮 over 25 years ago. I can't believe my mum allowed it. I was a bit put off wearing them after I noticed a dirty old man ogling my arse at 11. Plus once a parent of my friends grabbed my thigh when I was wearing some

Most people at that time wore tights under them though. The girls these days go bare legged. Apart from anything else they must be fecking freezing.

Womblingmerrily · 20/04/2024 20:11

@MyBigBounty

I didn't say people had to agree with my opinion about them.

I said you need to stop criticising the women who wear them.

Bitching about other women and what they choose to wear is not a good look.
