To think my friend shouldn't have eaten my burger?

Out for dinner a couple of nights ago.

Me and DP, friend and her BF, and another friend.

All paying for our own food.

I ordered a burger but didn't finish it all, so offered it to DP. He said Yes please, but let me finish mine first.

Immediately after that, friend said 'Oh could I try a bite first?' - she ate about half of what was left, then proceeded to offer it to her DP, and when he said no, our friend.

AIBU to think this was fucking weird? Me and DP were both a bit like, Erm, wtf to say something at the time!

For fuck's sake not trying to kick the OP just giving my opinion.

It's weird. Weird enough that I'd not worry about being overly polite if by some strange turn of events something like this were to happen again. Tell her the burger is already spoken for, sorry!

In fairness, unless the OP regularly attends orgies, she’s probably unlikely to be swapping saliva with three or four people in the space of an evening, like this burger.

It's a mostly eaten leftover bit of burger. Who cares who eats it. The things people choose to get worked up about amaze me sometimes.

jeez calm down! OP/OPs DH happily gave it the friend to have a bite of.. the bit they are not happy about is that she didn't give it back for him to finish.

People are rightly grossed out by the fact that OPs DH would let their friend put their hands on it and 'have a bite of it' before receiving it back to eat the remainder of it, I think it's grim.. and so do a few others on here by the looks of it!

Because you don't normally go around snogging your friends? I'd share food with my DH or children but I wouldn't want a friends leftover burger when they had held it in their hands and made full mouth contact with it!
