Do any of you go out without a bra?

I'd definitely feel more comfortable physically without it, but I know people would stare and some, for sure, would see me inappropriately. That would make me even more uncomfortable than wearing a bra. Most days I wear a bra though, when it comes to the evening it comes off, and it's the best feeling in the world! Has anyone else found a way to feel comfortable and supported without a bra, or am I stuck choosing between comfort and what people think?

I haven't gone braless since my late teens. I don't like the feel of not wearing a bra now, it makes me feel sweaty.

Dullardmullard · 13/04/2024 21:38

How can you large breasted women wear the bralettes they have no support I’ve found and squish the boobs and they don’t sit right either.

I've tried for years now it’s 50/50 if I’m wearing one because of shoulder pain nowt to do with bras

Abbimae · 13/04/2024 21:40

I am so envious of people who need to wear a bra. 34a only wear something to cover any cold nipple issues 😂

For me it’s just that I don’t really care they have no support, or that they squish me down. I’d rather that than underwired or proper non wired bras. I find them too tight and uncomfortable. So a crop top is a compromise between no bra and an uncomfortable bra.

fortheloveoftoast · 13/04/2024 21:42

I try to avoid wearing bras as much as I can, I've been on annual leave for a week and a half and haven't worn one at all since Ive been off work. Bliss

Soubriquet · 13/04/2024 21:42

I haven’t worn a bra in 9 years Grin

I might have a bit of a nipple showing through my t-shirt but I don’t give a fuck. I’m probably a B cup now. I haven’t had them measured in years either.

El13 · 13/04/2024 21:42

I don’t always wear a bra, well most of the time I don’t. I don’t really think people notice.
do what ever is comfortable and feels right. X

VenetiaHallisWellPosh · 13/04/2024 21:45

I've got smallish boobs so I wear crop tops or non-wired bras. But I imagine women with bigger boobs might need corsetry to keep them supported.

I don’t wear a bra unless I’m visiting family who are likely to hug me. 😆

Same 😆

FusionChefGeoff · 13/04/2024 22:19

I abandoned bras for soft crop tops - enough support and nipple coverage not to draw attention but sooooo comfortable!

ItsFreedomBabyYeah · 13/04/2024 22:36

Honey not only do I go out without a bra, I go out in my pj's and dressing gown under the cloak of darkness to drop my DC at the school bus stop. One day someone will catch me, but its pitch black when I make a run for the car.

JenniferBooth · 13/04/2024 22:58

HH here and i started going braless when face masks became compulsory. Because bras wernt and if i had to be uncomfortable on one part of my body then i would be comfortable on another part. I stopped giving a damn what other people thought when they showed they couldnt give a damn whether i could breathe properly or not.

smellslikecinnamon · 13/04/2024 23:18

Get some better fitting bras. I'm a 34E so nut ginormous but not exactly tiny and more really comfy. Having them pendulously swinging about would be more uncomfortable

SkaneTos · 13/04/2024 23:46

I like wearing a bra, because I find it comfortable.
If I go out, I wear a bra, almost always.

The one day I did not wear a bra, I managed to injure my arm quite badly when grocery shopping (yes, weird, I know) and of course had to go to the hospital to be examined and have an x-ray. Would have preferred to have worn a bra that day.

hopsalong · 14/04/2024 01:12

Yes! All the time! But not wearing anything tight. Recently have started to wonder if I'm a bit too old for it (flat-chested but droopier than I was).

Racooncity · 14/04/2024 01:53

I can't because it's too obvious (dd) but I HATE BRAS. I will usually wear a comfy CK sports bra if it doesn't show with what I'm wearing.

Lucythecleaner · 14/04/2024 02:01

I don't even own a bra. I'm an A cup and pert. I doubt my little As will sag as they are too small

I'm too small to sag, and am still pert at 65.

When I was younger I used to wish I was more curvy, but it bothers me less now.

DivergentTris · 14/04/2024 07:26

I only wear something when I'm wearing white, when I do it's just a vest and it's only to hide nipple show.

I can't stand bra's but being a 30 AA they seem pointlessly uncomfortable.

Strangely at 30aa, I'm the opposite, I think it would feel odd even having a handful after so many years let alone more! I wouldn't change it for the world.

Masks don’t stop you breathing and nor do bras? Weird take.

bradpittsbathwater · 14/04/2024 08:50

I'm a 32e and still pert but I wouldn't have them flapping around in public.

RazzberryGem · 14/04/2024 08:53

I'm a 34G. No chance.

EBearhug · 14/04/2024 09:16

A cup. Almost never. I do for yoga and my occasional efforts at running (though the day I forgot was fine.) I have one or two tops I would wear them under. But mostly not, not even at work. If someone is bothered by the hint of a nipple, that's their problem.

PersephonePomegranate23 · 14/04/2024 09:18

No chance, I'm a 32DD😂I wouldn't mind having the option though.
