How often do you clean your ears?

I'll tell you mine and my dps frequency after some replies. To be quite frank I'm a bit disgusted!

Clean how?

Every couple of weeks maybe? Does it really matter?

Daily. In the shower.

Inside? Never. You’re not supposed to, unless they’re blocked. I wash my actual ears in the shower every day with the rest of me.

Best way to get them cleaned out is to go swimming

Daily in the shower with my fingers and then after with a cotton bud

OP- Do you mean inside the ear canal, the external pinna part, behind the ear or where exactly???

I have a root around with a cotton bud the day after I wash my hair as the water in them makes them itchy and it feels nice 😁

Once a fortnight with my ear camera. My ears are sparking clean inside and out.

I clean my ears every single day with an earbud. They are almost always spotless tbh.

I am religious about it and love doing the kids ears too (when they let me!)

Which bit?

You should never put anything smaller than your elbow inside your ear according to the ENT doc I saw.

I wash the outsides in the shower along with everything else.

So if youre trying to encourage someone to shove ear buds inside, please don't.

I've done it all my life (as did my mum on me beforehan) and at 39 never had an issue with ears or my health.

Put the earbud in my ear and wiggle it round the outer bit of my ear canal.

Tell me about it. I've seen some kids and im like WTAF, how are you being allowed outside the house with the state of those ears!

@LadeOde it shows you inside so you can scrape out any wax. I got it from a link someone shared on here from Amazon.

@Dacadactyl Are you referring to 'cotton buds'? i thought you meant ear buds as in those used to listen to music.

So the point of the ear cameras is they allow you to do the clean daily or more. I use mine twice a day for a full clean. I then follow with my ear toner, rejuvenating cream and ear scrub, although if I'm being honest some days I can't be bothered with the scrub. Bit grim I know, but life is busy.

Inside? Only the edges with a cotton bud. I use cotton buds to clean the folds outer ear.

Outsides in the shower. Insides just when I have a cold or something and they go gunky inside. Best way is a few drops of warm olive oil. Lean head or lie down give it ten minutes, flip the other way and soak it up / give a wide with a cotton ball. It’s generally a bad idea to put cotton buds in your ear canal

Lol, no I'm not cleaning my ears with airpods. I meant cotton buds.

I've only ever really used them for cleaning my ears (and round my taps) so call them earbuds!
