to think McDonald's have lost the main idea of "fast food"

It's not even fast anymore. It takes at least 15 minutes on a good day to get food, and on a bad day even longer. The drive-thru is even worse, I was in there last weekend and there were three cars in front of me and took half an hour to get my food and go.

I haven't even seen McDonald's do anything particularly creative recently. They're just bringing back old things and the food really doesn't look anything like in there adverts (which we established years ago)

And don't start about the new Happy Meal toys!!!

McDonald's is basically where fast food started, and now I think it's lost it a bit.

Yanbu. On Thursday I waited over 25 minutes for my order. When I worked at McDonald’s, we would be in trouble if a customer was waiting over 4 minutes! It wasn’t even particularly busy in there.

It is due to cost cutting. Under staffing (there was one member of staff handling the fries, drinks and drive through service window (these used to be separate roles). There was no one on the tills (we have a coeliac so cannot order via the screens). Eventually the manager had to come out on the floor and help. They also seem to cook to order more these days, whereas they used to have things like cheeseburgers and nugget boxes ready to go.

I had a McD's for lunch today because of this thread. Impressionable, moi? 😂

Can’t remember the last time I had a Maccy d’s, just so bored of it tbh.

Just had a bk bean burger. It was shit :(

I used to love their vegetable burgers, the ones with actual veg in, and I'm not even veggie. I don't know why they stopped those 😥And the big breakfast, I used to love one of those.

@Alarmingghhh and bloody expensive ! I could not believe the price of Burger King the last time I had one . Beanburgers have gone right downhill .
