To think there should be an English section on here?

AIBU to think that as there are sections for Scottish, Welsh and Irish posters on this site so why not one for the English and those who live in England?

No. Might stop the gripe that English presume that everything is the same elsewhere (I don't anyway). I don't see why not though? Ideas for places to visit, etc. Chats on things that are different here like laws and schools.

If you want to know about a specific area of England no one is stopping you.

You can also ask about English laws etc.

It’s pointless to have an English board especially as the English are by far the majority in the UK. The distance from say, Cumbria to Devon is significant so you little day trip suggestion is silly.

I do hope you aren’t a Reform voter as the suggestion is there.

OP I think you seem to misunderstand what a majority is. By and large, due to the disproportionately large English population of the UK, almost all posts, unless otherwise stated, will be either about or assumed to be about England. That's why there are Scottish, Welsh etc groups. It doesn't really work the other way around. What's your beef?

Nothing is lacking but why can't there be a regional bit for the English? I am not being serious serious by the way but if we are discussing something relevant to England for example the new 15 hours funding it might stop people piping up with "not in Scotland or Wales or NI". You mention representation. We don't even have a proper parliament in England!

An English parliament wouldn't really work, it is too big being >55m. Wouldn't it make almost exactly the same decisions as the UK parliament anyway?

You'd have to have regional parliaments, which may be worth doing, but wow the cost.

What specifically do you feel England is unable to do under the current arrangements? Because Scotland/Wales/NI are not preventing England doing anything - England completely dominates parliament in terms of number of MPs.
