Does it bother you? I have a semi famous DH, he gets paid to gig and go on podcasts etc if we go out locally he does get asked for selfies so we tend to go away for weekends as a family.

I do find it slightly annoying but I guess it pays the bills 💃

I remember being in year 9 and was staying at a friends house watching crime watch and her brother appeared on there and he was sat on the sofa next to us.

everyone in the house just went silent.

he did his time in the end.

Peaceandquietandacuppa · 29/03/2024 23:28

OP, I’ve read this and your other posts and are you ok? You don’t seem very well. Your posts don’t make much sense and you seem intent on having a row with someone whether in real life (calling school mum a cunt/neighbour you hate) or online.

My sixth form ex was on Rogue Traders.

The sex was great though and I was all distracted for a few days after seeing him again even though he was evidently a wrong un

I actually saw a repeat of ‘his’ episode when I was suffering from pregnancy insomnia. No idea if it was hormones or whatever, but I felt a strong sense of nostalgia.

Josette77 · 29/03/2024 23:31

I dated an actor.

To be honest I loved his fans but he was kind of a dick.

His fans were lovely though and that part never bothered me.

I still get star struck by people, most people do even if they don't care particularly about celebrity life.

He was in a movie with Winona Ryder and I was obsessed with her as a teen. I was kind of more starstruck with people he worked with than him ever.

That said if I'm honest his work and success was attractive to me. I'd like to say it didn't matter but I had a crush on him before I knew him.

At university, I went out with someone who had been in a My Guy photo story. Sadly, he slipped through my fingers and is now married to someone else.

Well if we are talking magazines, I hate to cap you, but I had a joke published in "Whizzer and Chips" once.

I think I win the thread, thank you 👸👑

wilteddandelion · 29/03/2024 23:31

no matter how well known everyone shits

Omg your friend won an Oscar @SabrinaThwaite 😱😱😱 that is amazing.

It is rather fabulous (as is my friend).

toastandtwo · 29/03/2024 23:32

Mirabai · 29/03/2024 23:11

Overlooking the genesis of the thread, one of my school friend’s DH’s is now world famous and they’re very wealthy. A little bit of success and money is nice but this puts a big pressure on the relationship and she wishes it hadn’t happened.

That is pretty much what Jamie Oliver said on a lovely R4 show with Kirsty Young (but not DID, whatever her new one is… name escapes me). If he could go back in time he would rather just have a normal life owning a pub.

But he and your school friend’s DH are actually famous so I don’t suppose the OP has to worry about such things.

stormywhethers321 · 29/03/2024 23:34

I'm pretty sure a famous, or even "semi-famous", DJ doesn't have to worry that a children's cinema trip is going to be more enticing than one of his gigs.

My DH was featured in The Scottish Farmer does that count as famous? Let’s face it, It’s a total red neck charging a PTA for doing a disco.

Red neck, such a Scottish phrase! That and beamer 😳

"You don't know me,
You're too old,
Let go, it's over,
Nobody listens to techno."

I read your other thread and this song got stuck in my head.

You're married to Moby aren't you?

I always enjoyed Whizzer and Chips. It must be difficult for you to stay grounded after seeing that level of success.

TraumatisedatChristmas1986 · 29/03/2024 23:37

Very slightly famous actor in the family. He's well known locally, but largely by his own efforts. I don't like it at all, it makes me cringe.

It’s a phrase we often use 😂. I remember beamer from my school days.

And there I was thinking the Jackie poster won the thread. Is there no end to the famous people posting on here?

FacePlants · 29/03/2024 23:42

He should do the school disco for free for heavens sake, tight arse. As a mum I've volunteered at loads of school discos, didn't charge them a % of my normal hourly rate!!
I'd hate to have a famous partner and I wouldn't want to be famous myself. Loads of celebs seem to suffer with mental health problems nowadays, not surprised given all the trolling online.
