Does it bother you? I have a semi famous DH, he gets paid to gig and go on podcasts etc if we go out locally he does get asked for selfies so we tend to go away for weekends as a family.

I do find it slightly annoying but I guess it pays the bills 💃

There are no costs he’d have to cover! The most it might be is an insurance premium (which he should have anyway) in case of damage. But all he’s doing is playing at a school. If he’s really tight and needs the money he’d charge for leccy (electricity). Transport, he’d transport decks and records or computer equipment (laptop) in a car. All of this should be covered in his usual insurance.

I once got into a private members back in the 90’s ( don’t ask me how I was drunk) and load of Corrie/emmerdale actors were in … I spoke to Lisa Riley in the loos and she was lovely… I fell down the stairs on way out🙈 I’ve also stood next to Peter Kay in a children’s play area.

The dad I know who’s a promoter for club DJs whenever he played music for his DD’s parties (they always wanted to go out as they got older) always played the random pop stuff they were into. He said they laughed at him if he tried anything more “club” style though they did like Evacuate the Dancefloor and a few Basement Jaxx tracks.

Where Fabio and groove are from is Streatham - well it used to be posh in certain areas back in the day, but it spills over into Tooting and Norbury, Tooting is actually quite trendy now.

It’s just tight there because some people know the others through various ways and means but it’s more, you look out/watch out for each other. Mind you though, I would not walk my dog on certain parts of Streatham common and a friend moved from that area because she didn’t feel safe walking her dog on the common.

Actually most people tend to be into a bit of soul, rare groove and R&B from any nights I’ve been to but I’m old (White Lion pub Streatham High Street) rather than d&b and speed garage though yeah kids are probably into that.

I would be very much surprised if OP’s DH is close friends with them… but you never know.

My DH, apparently (I can’t see it) looks like Beppe off Eastenders. We’ve had people staring over while we’ve been out and some have asked him if he is!
