The thing that men do that is completely normal to most people, but gives you the ick?

Mine is men wearing long socks with shorts. I'm sorry I just can't

Men with small hands. Neck hair below the hair line. Shaved pubes or shaved any body part except head if fairly bald - that's acceptable. Smoking. Small appetites.

Yes small appetite or really food fussy.
Dd’s boyfriend is like this, only eats curry or chicken nuggets etc. Really bugs me. Just reeks of immaturity

Whoknowsohyoudo · 29/03/2024 11:40

Picking themselves. Just having a conversation and they start picking their head, or this thing or that thing like they're invisible 🤢 Also jewelry. I love a man with good forearms wearing a nice watch but that's it. Bracelets, earrings, necklaces I find repulsive.

Maybe he has ARFID.

Men who don’t like cats
Men who only like butch looking dogs
Men who use their car as a toy instead of just transport
Men who walk around with no shirt on when not on the beach

saffronflower · 29/03/2024 11:50

Men who only like butch looking dogs

This too- clearly very insecure in their masculinity and have a small dick.

Men who wear slip on shoes without socks

Men with neck beards

Solonelyifeelsolonely · 29/03/2024 11:54

I really dislike those very laddish types with a shaved head, ton of tattoos, went to the 'university of life super loud/vulgar, refers to his partner as 'the missus' or his bird.

Yeah, 'ick' has turned into man bashing.

Well derogatory comments in a generalised manner is clearly men bashing. What else would you call it ?

Why do the po faced fun sponges have to derail lighthearted threads

Just calling out flagrant sexism that's all 🙄

TimeGrabsYouByTheWrist · 29/03/2024 12:08

Hairs growing out the end of their nose or really hairy ear holes.

Those that use "should of" instead of "should have".

Picky eaters.

Are you misunderstanding my comment?
Are you thinking I am implying the opposite of what my words actually say?
A thread about 'ick' has clearly turned into a thread where man bashing is seen as acceptable - it's not.

If we replaced all the criticism of males on this thread with similar criticisms of women, would it go down well? Of course not.
Some folk have turned an 'ick' thread into man bashing, and that is indeed sexism (and nothing to do with lack of fun).

Still not bashing of one sex, as opposed to 'ick'?

Sorry I misread you 😞

Perhaps it was the 'yeah' at the start which suggested I was challenging your view as opposed to agreeing with it. I have seen it used in that way too.

Solonelyifeelsolonely · 29/03/2024 12:13

I have a colleague who constantly wears the same baseball cap to work. The exact same cap (unless he's got many in the same colour) and he's in his 30s. Makes me wonder how often he washes it 🤢 aibu to get the ick over that?

Yes, because we all know those who are well educated simply have to tell everyone about it all the time.

Smacks of someone who's insecure and has made up an online persona because they are lacking something irl.

I'm happy to help though -

Oooooh you're so fantastically educated and better than everyone else on the thread. Well done you, you've won whatever competition you're competing in. Congrats on being the bestest, and, of course, most educated human being in the world 🏅

(Hope that helps your confidence a bit 😘)

Ah, something else that gives me the 'ick', patronising posts that seem to tell everyone how great you are. Thanks for illustrating it.

Umm 🤔 not sure about that - I'm just highlighting the mind boggling intolerances on here. I am amazed that some of you can even coexist with your fellow humans. Or maybe you are just so perfect yourselves- that's it 😂😂

😂 bless. Go away to mensnet.

anxioussister · 29/03/2024 12:19

Those polarising glasses that turn dark in bright lights. I know some people find them really helpful. It’s irrational. But women or men - I just immediately know, in my body, that we can’t be proper friends.

MurderousCheekbones · 29/03/2024 12:22

Those of you who are bickering are just embarrassing yourselves now.

Small children with a repulsive chesty cough in public. (Before anyone gets triggered, I have one of my own and it drives me up the wall as well)

The question was about what gives you the ick about men…

Februaryfeels · 29/03/2024 12:27

Nose hair. Ewww
