I don't know how it happened

Had one at 11am and liked it so much I had another.

One when walking the dog then another when I came back to warm me up with tea.

Two when watching a crap film, the repeat for Netflix

Then two must've jumped into my mouth

I don’t really do chocolate but cheese does jump into my mouth on a regrettable number of occasions!

AmericanUgly · 24/03/2024 12:11

I genuinely can't eat a whole one. They are so sickly sweet!

But I'm afraid I'm a joyless one these days. I've just spent the last year suffering from and then having treatment for a health condition that's very directly linked to my terrible eating habits. Before this happened I was very much a 'You do you. Eat what you like. You only live once' kind of person (also called denial in my case). But I did genuine damage to myself and suffered resulting pain, treatment and complications. Now I'm 4 stone lighter, eating healthily and on the mend, but I can't un-see how damaging it was to treat my body like a bin.

MumChp · 24/03/2024 12:13

Brillant! Thank you! I do eat vegan chocolate but didn't know about these eggs!

Yup.
If you want all of those calories, fats and sugars in you, knock yourself out.

Calories, fats and sugars aren’t bad things, the weird moralising around food on this site is worrying, honestly

Rosebel · 24/03/2024 12:16

I brought a pack of 5 for DH. I only got them on Friday and somehow there is only 1 left. So will have to go and buy him some more before next Sunday.
Love a creme egg (or 4!)

Vistada · 24/03/2024 12:16

Have the "I'm so teeny tiny dinky winky I couldn't even possibly contemplate this so i just sniff a creme egg every Easter Sunday and that's enough" tribe rocked up yet?

OP YANBU. Fucking love creme eggs

Boxingwhelp · 24/03/2024 12:20

I’m sure that is the single serving size on the packet so you’re spot on OP.

Thefeedbackisnotok · 24/03/2024 12:05

I used to love them but in recent years they haven’t tasted the same so I don’t bother now 😭

Same here, I really miss the old Cadbury's.

Going to join the joyless brigade now. Eating nothing all day except 10 creme eggs is nothing to be proud of or encouraged. It's not big, it's not clever and it's not funny or 'light hearted'.

Judgey knickers well and truly hoicked as far up my bum crack as they can possibly go, so there!

Rubyupbeat · 24/03/2024 12:23

I,ve done the same but with the caramel version, no guilt at all, just savour them, its only Easter once a year.

Caramel version? Puts boots on and heads to local coop on fact finding mission.

No the sugar is gritty and makes my teeth ache. But I have my own little vices.

StaunchMomma · 24/03/2024 12:28

That is genuinely mental BUT I absolutely applaud it 👏

Don't do it again today though, yeah?

Northernsouloldies · 24/03/2024 12:29

Definitely not the same as they were 70s.if I ate ten guaranteed to shit myself inside out.admire your tenacity op in demolishing the lot.

I've never understood on mumsnet why one type of addiction is seen as ok, but the rest are terrible

Omgooodness, I have the loveliest friend, But ,she is so like this.....with all food. It's a nightmare when she comes here for lunch, she used to make me feel like a pig for eating one whole sandwich and one small fairy cake, as, she could only manage half a sarnie and 2 bites of her cake (she never says anything though).....she is so nice in every other way though.
Nowadays I tend to overplay eating my food and really enjoy it.
She doesn't have an eating disorder, as her daughter says she is not like that around family.

Dillydollydingdong · 24/03/2024 12:32

Yuck.

It’s just a bit of light hearted fun. No one is saying it is a good idea to eat like that every day.

This isn’t what addiction is, fucking HELL.

soupfiend · 24/03/2024 11:02

Would you? They're tiny.

And highly celebratory (or not dependent on where you are when eating)

Yes I would but as I said in a previous post I tend to avoid sugary foods pretty much.

soupfiend · 24/03/2024 12:36

OooScotland · 24/03/2024 12:05

That’s a lot of fondant. I hate fondant but if you love it then I can see how it could happen.

It’s done now. Probably have a word with yourself about doing it again though!

Yeah, have a word with yourself OP and make sure you purse your lips, hoist up your boobs and wave the big MN finger at yourself!!

lol

You said its greedy and odd

Whether you avoid sugar is neither here nor there, its your judgement of others food intake I was questioning

I also cant take a lot of sugar for a number of health reasons, I get ill. I wouldnt think someone who can eat a lot of it is 'greedy and odd'.

Really unnecessary language there.

So 10 alcoholic drinks in one day is OK?

RicePuddingWithCinnamon · 24/03/2024 12:41

That's 8

Yeah have another 2. Treat yourself.
