Two children (2 yo and 9 months baby), DH and myself and the floor ALWAYS has crumbs and bits of dried yucky stuff on it. I hoover and mop twice a week ATM but it's a never ending battle. I'm still on mat leave and so always at home and stepping on crumbs is getting so annoying! Tell me about your kitchen floors, your top cleaning tips, or maybe just tell me to go back to work and think about something else haha.

Sweep round edges with oxo long handled brush & pan (saves getting dyson out), good vac once a week & then mopped with hot bucket of water, floor cleaner & splash of zaflora (no kids or pets, shoes off household. Did buy a tub (Amazon)that fits over the kitchen door to knock my veg peelings into, that’s made a big difference to how dirty the floor becomes.

Whenever I look at it and think ew! Which is about twice a week. I have a flat mop and a bottle of spray wipe done which I do most of the time but I do have a deck scrub brush which I use on it about every 3 weeks or so.

I hoover the whole downstairs once a day otherwise it's just mucky and drives me nuts, then the dirt gets traipsed all upstairs too. Easy enough to do with the cordless hoover.

Mop once a week at least, more if needed

I’m generally pretty tidy- there is no mess and clutter in my house, washing up is done after every meal, everything is put away again after use, and there are no piles of washing and ironing. But I have a blind spot where it comes to floors, I just can’t be arsed. A bit of dust and the odd crumb never killed anyone, and we don’t have any infants crawling around. If a mouse did get in it would be tortured, dissected and presented for inspection long before it could think of reproducing.
