To think it's just weird that a pub restaurant is refusing to share costs or a sample menu?

Is it just me who thinks this is really bizarre?

New managers of a local pub, who despite being repeatedly asked for a menu, even a sample menu with an idea of costs, are refusing to share ANY information.

We visited there regularly when the previous managers had it, and we would like to go again.

But AIBU to want to see the kind or food they are serving & an idea of cost?

No, they dont.

“At or near the entrance” does not mean outside. I know reading comprehension is going downhill in the UK but… really? You think “at or near the entrance” means outside?

They almost all have menus at the door, in the area you have to wait to be seated, or just sitting near the doorway if you can seat yourself. Or they have menus at the bar which you can grab before you go and sit down. They don’t need menus outside. They can hand you a menu when you walk in, and then you can read and choose to sit or not. They don’t need to be displayed outside and in the UK, they very often are not outside.

They serve extra apostrophes!

As others have said, it's a gimmick and probably won't last long. Great if you love all foods but if I was served a course of 3 dishes I didn't like I wouldn't go back. Most people do like to have a choice and enjoy their favourite meal as a treat so not the best approach to a new business really IMO.
