Note that he also wanted to shoot a female executive he once met - he is very specific that this was a woman. I find myself wondering if she was also not white.

Many of the Tory party went to Oxbridge but many of them seem to lack intelligence too ! Academic ability does not always translate well in the workplace, or Government.

This Guardian article offers more detail. Actually, it implies the exec was white - but also reveals that he based his derision of her on the fact she was female and that this makes him 'want to be sexist'. He then goes on to make this the equivalent of Diane Abbott making him want to be racist.

Thsi whole 'private meeting ' thing is bilge. It was a meeting. Ina workplace. That's not 'private'. A racist 'in private' is still a racist.

Diane Abbott has suffered more abuse than any other MP. But people seem to find ways to excuse it or minimise it, even now.

To be honest I don’t have a very high opinion of men in general. Currently sat on a train and a group of men in front of me are drinking, vaping and shouting. Once in a blue moon it’s women, but very very usually men. I don’t ‘hate’ them but women en masse are more considerate, gentle and conditioned to think of others. I find a lot of men to be entitled, domineering and aggressive.

Some of the worst racism and sexism I've experienced was from the brocialists inside the Labour party (who also take money from unions which campaigning against equal pay for women and who historically campaigned to keep colour bars).

There was very little comment in the "right wing MSM" when the the same pundits attacked black and brown women in the cabinet with dog whistle terms around being race traitors because obviously any right thinking black or brown woman must be left wing. God forbid black women have a range of opinions just like white MC liberals.

There is no shortage of racism in any part of society and the smug assumption that virtuous MC liberals are pure and righteous is a big part of the problems that Labour have experienced. Abbott herself has talked about it often in the past - particularly when younger and in better health she was passionate on this issue within the party.
