It's sickening. I have a bit of a soft spot for Diane Abbott, I am angry at the amount of abuse she gets. The Tories must immediately fully condemn what he said without any equivocation and drop any contact with him. His NHS contract may need looking into as well, I don't know if there are any rules regarding the private behaviour of suppliers though.

I am also angry at the hypocrisy of the Labour Party in their confected whinging about it. While they have in their ranks John McDonnell who called for Esther McVey to be lynched and Wes Streeting who said he wanted to push a woman journalist under a train - actual MPs not just donors - along with party members who abuse Labour and other MPs - they have no room to talk.

Diane Abbot’s credentials or otherwise are not the point in a context where a man says she should be shot.

Is being shot for you and our PP above all a matter of how much you like them?

Personally l think Dianne Abbot lacks any intelligence, and should never be an MP on that basis, but the behaviour of the MP who said this is appalling, he should be sacked with immediate effect.

What did she actually say that you think it is ok for him to say she deserves to be shot and that because of her he wants to tar all Black women because of his personal dislike of her.

I’m not surprised though. I’ve had such comments with a “no offence” regarding people I don’t know, never met but in their mind belong to the same “group”, yet I know if I did the exact same thing, they wouldn’t be happy and embarrassed and defensive if I made them explain what they mean.

This is not about whether you like Diane Abbott.

It is about whether you state your own hatred of a racial group, which he did, and expect to influence a political party by giving them money.

Diane Abbott read history at Cambridge. How easy do you think it was for a black woman to do that? You might not like her, but she does not lack intelligence.

Get your facts right. You disagreeing with her doesn't mean she lacks any intelligence. And it was a party donor not an MP.
