Someone in the Kensington Palace press office is getting sacked tomorrow. For a photo that was supposed to quell all the discussion about Kate, all it has done is added fuel to the fire.

to be honest im a bit out of the royal family loop. As far as I know, she was in hospital recently. Is it really that strange she hasn’t made a public appearance? Is it really that strange that the photo looks manipulated? If your average person on social media is editing and filtering their photos, why would the royal family be any different?

This isn’t the first time they’ve photoshopped their photos and it won’t be the last.

I personally hate photoshopped family photos but as it’s the norm for them then it’s hardly a big deal.

I just had another look and I'm very surprised to see she's clearly not wearing her wedding or engagement rings. This is very strange.

What silence? They said she's having a medical procedure that she wanted kept private, and would be out of action until after Easter.

There are several more photos of her not wearing them at different places in the past so not that strange, they were in the online paper yesterday, I can't remember which one. I don't wear mine.

The photos are often photoshopped, usually things on the photo that don't matter anyway, who knows why some knitwear was photoshopped

As an aside, I found it very difficult to cross those two fingers but that might be because I'm elderly.

This is so stupid. The poor woman has had what sounds like some pretty hardcore surgery and is exactly where they said she’d be- recuperating in private at home. If the over-invested, salivating masses lack the comprehension to understand what “she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter” means, or are simply unable to wait that long, then that’s our problem, not theirs.
