In my family we haven't discussed Kate Middleton at all. We just know she's a waste of money, a human without a genuine purpose in life. Of course we don't wish her pain or suffering, and I'm sure if we considered it, we'd wish her a speedy recovery. We don't spend hours discussing Gaza and Ukraine either, but it's obvious to us what's important, and what is trivial.

All humans have genuine purpose, you silly thing.

Londonrach1 · 11/03/2024 07:01

Yanbu. Tbh she had surgery and needs to rest and recover. The photo does look made up. Suspect she not well enough to have a photo taken yet.

PSEnny · 11/03/2024 07:01

You really need to get a life. No wonder the poor woman feels the need to release photos when people like you are so obsessed. The public were clearly told she would not return to public duties until after Easter, she still has weeks of recovery. I honestly do not understand your response, declaring this as ‘massive’ news is a huge overreaction.

Deardoofus · 11/03/2024 07:02

@pleasehelpwi3 she is a mother of 3 🤔. Are you sure she has no genuine purpose in life? How rude your are. I hope you are proud of yourself for posting such nasty comments about a woman who is sick. Wow. Social media really does seem to directly undermine basic civility and humanity. Scary.

The royal family are not the real news here. Look at the worldwide online mob and how the hound one woman. That's what's noteworthy. People like this can be mobilised for anything.

Apart from the millions we pay Ukraine etc ?

You beat me to it. 12bn to Ukraine, and tens of millions to the Gaza situation.

Wellthisisntgreatreally · 11/03/2024 07:04

It's a minor edit. I'm not sure why they've had such a huge over reaction to it. It's literally some tidying up of Charlotte's jumper cuffs.

TheKeatingFive · 11/03/2024 07:08

Tiddlywinkly · 11/03/2024 06:32

Ok, my two cents.

It's not massive news.

Some fraudster created it using AI and successfully sold it. Now it's been pulled. Just a guess.

Well, no.

It was released by KP with further context that Wills 'took it' last week.

cakeorwine · 11/03/2024 07:08

It's the lead headline on the BBC - so that's something.
When a massive press agency says you shouldn't use a picture of the Royal Family, that is news.

But I speak as an ardent Republican. I hope she's ok. They are just a family with a LOT of people obsessed by them - all looking at them in their goldfish bowl.

Trez1510 · 11/03/2024 07:09

I'm disappointed. I'd hoped the crossed finger thing was proof they are lizard people and that's why it was withdrawn. In reality this is probably young people of today's 'Mandela effect' moment. That or the monocle (or not!) on the Monopoly man.

Crackermuncher · 11/03/2024 07:09

I like a conspiracy theory as much as the next person but this is probably easily explained I think. Was the picture taken with a camera phone? Perhaps a camera phone that merges a few best shots together and has an Ai element to the process? Wasn’t there a recent ad campaign for a phone that did exactly this?
AP will be aware that the reach of this photo is global, and will also be aware that the pic has been widely scrutinised and criticised on social media for its poor editing. In the current climate, it doesn’t look good for AP to be publishing heavily (and poorly) doctored photos and presenting them as genuine. Which AP material can we trust from Gaza , or Ukraine if they allow this kind of thing for Royal ‘news’?

Downunderduchess · 11/03/2024 07:10

Far out, the obsession with this family is so OTT. Every day is a new conspiracy theory. I’m not particularly for or against them but so many posts about essentially the same thing lately.

Deardoofus · 11/03/2024 07:11

Bots?

Sn1859 · 11/03/2024 07:11

Jumpingthruhoops · 11/03/2024 01:38

Respectfully, that's not why they would have killed it. Press images are photoshopped all the time. For them to 'kill it', means there's a reason why this particular photo must never see the light of day...

Respectfully, it’s been reported on the news this morning that it was “killed” because it has been manipulated. It’s already in the public domain, it’s everywhere. It’s already seen the light of day so I’d love to know what it is you think they’re all “covering up”?!

Astonetogo · 11/03/2024 07:14

Flowerfairie · 11/03/2024 00:20

Even if there is something in it, who cares? She’s human like everyone else and there’s more important stuff going on in the world

sure, but we don’t pay millions to whatever else is going on in the world.

We don’t own her, you know.

Bots?

Do bots generally tell other posters to not be 'fucking ridiculous' if they express a view the bot does not like?

This.

Many people are obsessed by one family.

They are just a family who by accident of birth gets people and the media obsessed by them.

Itisnearlyspring · 11/03/2024 07:17

Maybe they edited the flower bed near Charlotte's arm to change the season of the photo.

CwmYoy · 11/03/2024 07:19

Calm down, OP.

It really isn't important.

So much hysteria and frothing.

JeIIyLegs · 11/03/2024 07:20

Greengagesnfennel · 11/03/2024 00:16

Really weird photo. Why has the boy got his fingers crossed?

Because he is a child, and he likes fiddling. Also I suspect he is on the spectrum isn't he?

Majorsmiler · 11/03/2024 07:21

They have edited photos before , remember Louis lost a finger in one pic? It seems that they need a better photo editor person or checker post editing is all!

Willmafrockfit · 11/03/2024 07:22

i agree, it is in the editing, they just wanted everyone to smile at the same time, which can be done now!

cakeorwine · 11/03/2024 07:26

CwmYoy · 11/03/2024 07:19

Calm down, OP.

It really isn't important.

So much hysteria and frothing.

It is headline news on the BBC, Express, Daily Mail and no doubt other media outlets.

So not sure why you are telling someone to calm down when it's top news in the media.

Ilovecleaning · 11/03/2024 07:29

Untethered · 11/03/2024 05:45

It means media companies can’t legitimately purchase it for use anymore, I think.

Thank you 🌺

JanewaysBun · 11/03/2024 07:30

My DS used to do that finger crossing thing all the time, he's the same age as Louis. He's hypermobile so bends more than most people!

Willyoujustbequiet · 11/03/2024 07:31

No it's not massive news.

A photo which everyone knew was pre op has been photopped. So what?

They've said all along she wouldn't be back until Easter so why is everyone speculating?

Leave the poor woman alone to recuperate.
