Yes, over the last few years there's actually a small trickle of stories which are in the MSM which fall short of specifically saying "official separation", but seem to be priming for something.
Of course they're all BS to a certain extent, but it feels like there's a reason they've been allowed to stand.
(Outlets like Marie Claire, the Express)
- William nicknaming Kate the Duchess of Doolittle due to her not having had a job, they often don't talk (then a disclaimer saying thats normal for couples)
- William saying "chop chop" to Kate in public to hurry her along. Kate didn't even notice him doing it so it could have been glossed over but was picked up.
- specifically saying how Camilla dislikes Kate, instigated Will breaking up with her early on (Camilla seeing herself as the descendant of nobly born mistresses), and it was Camilla who invited Rose Hanbury to the Coronation.
- pointing out multiple times how upper class people often have separate bedrooms, there's nothing wrong with it, it's actually normal, the Queen and Philip did it etc.
If they are essentially seperate, but can't officially spilt due to the optics, I wonder if Kate has now played hardball, got her family backing, and said she's not doing all the ribbon cutting and engagements to save face.
And KP just has to handle it.
There's the "invisible contract", but with the Queen gone and Camilla and her journalist friends on the loose and a difficult William unable or unwilling to speak against her (and Harry and Meghan not around to be punchbags) if I was Kate I'd think it would be me and my daughter being painted as mad next.
Whilst Camilla grabs power like Richard 3rd in Shakespeare.
William can't do anything, they can hardly have a messy public falling out.
I wonder if the announcement in spring will be due to ill health, Kate is stepping back from most public duties with KP refusing to comment further beyond saying that they are doing what is best for the children.
(I always thought Anne of Cleves had the best deal of all the royal wives!)
