Woke up to deflated tires because I drive an SUV.

Still reassuring to know that everyone driving an SUV in my current urban home is probably either an emergency responder, a farmer on a day trip or has a bad back. Just so happens huge swathes of the population fall into this category, who'd have thought. I'll remember that next time they're driving at me and the kids on the pavement

Driving at you on the pavement? How unpopular are you in your locality for people to want to do this to you? What were the injuries?

Don't get it. Grew up on a farm, never had any money so always drove old bangers not 4x4s. The single track lanes don't work in SUV either, you've got to get right in the hedge.

Except SUV drivers hysterically are terrified of doing that and in our rural area will drive in the middle of lanes forcing everybody else to drive into hedges because they don’t want their shiny vehicle to get a whiff of a scratch. I now refuse to be bullied by them. If you don’t want to be equally near to the hedge you can reverse. The SUV drivers I see are never farmers but mothers driving children on the school run or tourists in the summer when you see a big increase.

Most SUVs where I live are driven by ‘down from London’ townies, tourists and school run mums. The farmers and land workers typically use vans, cars or pick up trucks.
