I am being catfished right now!

I received a friend request on Facebook just now. This is definitely someone catfishing me. He comes from Austin, Texas but has pigeon English. He is a Marine Engineer living in Sweden. He does a very dangerous job. He is a nice looking man, he has sent me a photo. He tragically lost his wife 5 years ago due to medical negligence. Am I wrong in stringing him alone?

How are the scams going? I got a text one earlier today to pay a PCN notice with a link, I replied 'post them like actual companies do' :)

Don't click on links or reply, because they could hack your details or download a worm to your pc.

I got a text too for a PCN wouldn't open it though, just deleted , seem to be a constant thing these days, even on FB groups random comments and dodgy friend requests , ignore and delete or report

Brilliant love that answer,🤣 I had an argument with one they rang me saying I'd had an accident I said I hadn't, they actually had nerve to argue with me saying that i had, 🤔🤣 after saying I think I'd know if I had an accident, I hung up The nerve of them!

There are hackers on youtube that make videos revealing these scammers' identity. Not once has it been a trafficked slave, just young guys in designer gear from stolen money.

The trafficked ones wouldn't be filmed. Watch the documentary on BBC about the pig butcher romance scandal, I think it's called. The men are lured with promises of jobs and kept imprisoned. Tortured if they don't do what they are told to and it's abysmal. The scum running this compounds pay off local law enforcement so nothing is done about it. The guy filming himself in the doc managed to escape but it is amazing he was able to.

If he's not a general in the US marines but cannot afford to get airline tickets then I'd be surprised.

On the topic, can you be scammed on Facebook? , in the guise of being told your comment has been deleted, a year after you made it 🤔 just a comment about glad someone saw dolphins,. Only possible cause for it is if put a random fullstop in between 2 words , thus making a link to a dodgy website, which the number of times I have done this ,I would never be on Facebook lol. It's easily done and I don't always notice its bought up a link til after sending I see a line under a couple of words Never ever look at link, can't see full comment though to see if this has happened

Ooh I was reading this a couple of days ago and feeling a bit left out - I do get the occasional 'clean cut US army man up a mountain/fishing/hunting' friend request which I've always deleted because even the thought of their catfish persona is boring. But just now I've been friend requested by a new type of catfish!

Meet the phwoarsome 'Bobby Wood' 😍. Apparently widowed, one child and lives in Denmark. Should I accept??

Oh no! He has one child.... I'm sorry to tell you but I have "the gift" and I forsee him or his child having an emergency in the near future.

But on a happy note the men with numerous kids don't seem to have these lift threatening emergencies.

They need to mix it up a bit. Rob from the US army who has 12 kids with his god fearing widowed wife. Or Boris from Bognor who has 8-12 kids with various wives who have mostly run for the hills to escape the super stud.

Is their science behind women desiring dad's of one more than any other man? Dh is stuffed then if I pop off before him.
