The dynamics of the band, the turmoil, the bloody fantastic songwriting that was so personal but made them such an awesome group!

Growing up I didn’t really know about Fleetwood Mac until the mid 80’s, and I think the fact that they had different lead singers within the band, involved in their various hits, during the 80’s I suppose this confused me and when listening on the radio, thought I was listening to a different band when they had a hit!

Just wanted to show my appreciation to them in a AIBU thread, just because 😆

I watched a documentary a while ago about them and tbh was totally floored! I missed out on them during my youth and subsequent grunge rock 90’s+ moment! I was never really into them back then….

How bloody awesome were/are they!

Also incredibly sad about Christine McVie ❤️

Love that song of tango in the night .

FM concert on Sky Arts now

Diamondcurtains · 01/03/2024 20:19

My dad was a huge fan so I’ve been listening to them for 52 years. The Rumours Album is amazing and I never get bored of it.

locally to me there is a bar that has tribute bands and Fleetwood Back are really good.

Fleetwood Mac concert currently on Sky Arts.

£100 odd to stand at the back for Stevie Nicks. £300+ for a decent view. I don't think so. If it was Fleetwood Mac...but that's not really possible now.
Ticket prices are insane now. Best seats for Journey at the O2 in November £150. Del Amitri, who I love deeply are supporting Simple Minds, who I really don't, and top price for that is £300-odd. For Simple Minds!
I got to dozens of gigs a year and I refuse to pay more than £100 for just about anyone, although most of the things we got to are around £30. Elbow are charging £50 for the same venue, bless-em.

Rumours of Fleetwood Mac are amazing.

Can’t help about the state I’m in.
I can’t sing, I ain’t pretty and my legs are thin.
but don’t ask me what I think of you,
I might not give the answer that you want me to. 🎸🎸🎸

Peter Green RIP.

Me too! Had the Tango in the Night album in the 80s and then bought the greatest hits but then almost forgot about them for years. Like a PP I didn't realise a lot of the songs were them due to the different vocalists. Saw the documentary mentioned and they are now amongst my most played. Recently discovered "Edge of Seventeen" by Stevie Nicks - love her voice! We too have Fleetwood Bac come to our area, was sold out last time but will be there for sure next time!
