I also fell in love with my other Gucci bag at the same airport...

I have about 20 bags, some expensive and some cheap but I wouldn't think oh, I'll take a photo of my bag and load it up to Aibu on MN as that would be a bit mad so I did wonder what the thread was about.

@InterIgnis Well I'm a poster and I was and am certainly nonplussed as to why we were seeing photos like this on AIBU. It's a strange place for an instagram or FB-type post, so of course posters are nonplussed.

And one thing nonplussed people definitely do is take time out of their day to let it be known they’re nonplussed, as opposed to you know, shrugging and moving on along like they do when it comes to any other thread that isn’t relevant to them.

But hey, like I said, no one actually expects jealous people to admit they’re jealous people. They invariably take great pains to insist it’s something else (usually something righteous, at that).

So what if you spend 50p on a bag from a jumble sale and don't ate everything else to worthy charity of the day, the OP has decided to use her money, that presumably she earns, to buy something that she wants.
It's not my colour, but it is a very pretty bag. I'm an Alexa fan too 😁

@InterIgnis What are we jealous of exactly, most of us don't like the bag, and £800 is hardly loads of money in the scheme of things, as I said upthread many pay more for their phone but they don't put a photo on Aibu.

I like the colour. Better than boring black or brown. However you will always get people who think that anything I'm a feminine colour is tacky and tasteless.

What I don't like is the gold logo stuck on the front. I think it ruins the bag.

I'm finding this thread unexpectedly fascinating! It kind of displays a cross-section of human nature. I'm a little disappointed though; I was hoping there'd be more posters showing us pictures of their own bags. I love my favourite bag, but I don't use it much, because I don't want to spoil it! It wasn't even particularly expensive, not hundreds anyway.

Then do what you presumably do on every other thread that isn’t relevant to you, and move along? Why go out your way to shit on someone that’s happy about something? Do you normally feel the need to try and bring someone down if they like something you don’t? I don’t like camping, but funnily you won’t find me popping up on the thread of someone excited about camping in order to grace them with my opinion. If someone’s happy about something then good for them! Why go out your way to be spiteful about it?

Are bags cheaper at the airport? I don't understand the advantage of buying by a bag there if not?

You will find most people post about camping in the camping section on here, Aibu is free for all and OP is inviting people to say if she ibu and yes she is.

Intergnlns- showing off an £800 bag will raise eyebrows, its not a cupcake and hardly comparable to camping. It's an overt display of wealth, of course people are going to comment
