Karen’s Diner/Katie Hopkins - cancel?

Quick question:
In the words of Mumsnet, AIBU?
It’s my eldest’s 30th this year, and as a surprise I’ve planned a day out for us on March 17th. We’re going to Hello Kitty cafe, Priscilla the Party and ending up in Karen’s Diner in Islington.
Some of you might know Karen’s from Social media. You basically get insulted and it looks very amusing.
I see from their insta, they’re doing some kind of collaboration with Katie Hopkins in their Manchester and Birmingham restaurants I think.
I am horrified and have left comments to that effect.
I actually feel that I want to cancel, and it’s a shame as it’s something we’d wanted to do for ages.
I however, cannot give my hard earned ££ to an organisation that is giving a platform to a racist right wing Trump supporting bigot.
Am I being unreasonable to cancel our reservation??

I love Katie Hopkins she is so funny when she does her Friday evening of Katie’s Arms her online pub, my sense of humour and the Karen’s Diner just sounds like a good laugh for the evening, you know they don’t mean it. Just a good giggle

I wasn’t referring to the whole ethics of the term Karen, just if you were describing what the term ‘Karen’ meant to an alien, Katie Hopkins would be a perfect example.

We went to a Karen's Diner pop up in Edinburgh last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food, although not much choice and fairly basic was excellent, and your ticket gets you a few drinks. They wouldn't give me a drink to take away with me as you're not allowed to drink in the street, even though the car was at the door. So I said Ok I'll drink it now, and five minutes later I stuck it under my oxter and walked out with it. Bad girl, felt like a student! Yes you get insulted but it's all very funny. There were games and lots of people joined in, didn't see anyone upset, they all seemed to be having a good time. My only gripe was that there were young kids there - two having birthdays! - and it's really not suitable for them, the language is pretty ripe.

Then of the 46% who don’t, less than half actually pay more income tax than the value of the services they use. That isn’t such a surprising figure if you look at something like schooling costs. If you had 2 children at state school you’d need to earn 70k just to pay enough tax to cover their school costs without paying a penny towards anything else. In reality you would need to earn well over 100k per annum to cover your financial cost to the economy if you have 2 children at school.

Just 20% pay more in income tax than the total value of benefits and services they receive in return.

You need to be earning over 50k every year to break even, and for a couple you both need to be earning this amount each.

Again when the top 1% of society pay a third of all income tax it’s hardly a surprising statistic.

My point stands that an ever decreasing minority are funding an ever increasing majority.

Labour seek to demonise those who bankroll the masses yet fail to mention that society is bankrupt without them.

How does Katie Hopkins make sense? The recent stuff I’ve seen is about the state of the nhs, what the government are up to, government partying in covid etc….. and she’s been quite self deprecating and open to the fact that she’s said some rubbish things in the past and acted like an idiot. I mean maybe she’s had some good spin, maybe she’s reformed but the things she says now are different to what she was saying 10,15 years ago,
