Terrified i'm dying!!!!

Sorry if this is on the wrong thread but i'm not sure where to put it

Nearly 2yrs ago i had surgery to remove a sarcoma (no treatment afterwards as not needed). My 6 month scan was clear and i had another scan 4wks ago to check if it had come back. The hospital have rang today and told me they had booked me in next Friday to see a member of the surgery team. I am abaolutely terrified and beside myself with worry. I am a single parent to a very young child who has no contact with dad due to domestic abuse. I barely have any family/friend support. If the cancer is back i really don't know what i will do. I feel physically ill

Hey OP. My husband has had sarcoma twice now. A recurrence isn’t always the worst news especially if it’s not on the lungs. We are now 6 years post the 2nd diagnosis and 17 years past the 1st.

Make sure you ask for a second opinion. the Marsden saved his life twice when a local hospital couldn’t. This isn’t a life sentence.

So they said i need an MRI and a PET scan first which i will have within the next 10 days. If they can operate they will but if not i will have chemo

I'm glad a friend was able to go with you today (I just re-read your original post saying you have limited family and friend support). Be super kind to yourself as you process this. I'm glad there's a plan with your medical team to work out the best way forward for you. Don't be afraid of telling your team that you need practical or emotional support.
