Terrified i'm dying!!!!

Sorry if this is on the wrong thread but i'm not sure where to put it

Nearly 2yrs ago i had surgery to remove a sarcoma (no treatment afterwards as not needed). My 6 month scan was clear and i had another scan 4wks ago to check if it had come back. The hospital have rang today and told me they had booked me in next Friday to see a member of the surgery team. I am abaolutely terrified and beside myself with worry. I am a single parent to a very young child who has no contact with dad due to domestic abuse. I barely have any family/friend support. If the cancer is back i really don't know what i will do. I feel physically ill

Hi everyone, i had a lovely day Sunday which i spent at a friends house as it was her daughters birthday and they had a lovely garden party for the kids. I'm going to cancer charity tomorrow to speak with a practioner regarding the best counselling and treatments for myself. I'm thinking reiki. I've booked a lovely holiday for myself and my son. I'm also trying to try think more positively on a daily basis

I have booked Spain. Just the two of us which will be nice. I'm hoping to get back to work in a few weeks also as i am going stir crazy at home

Hi everyone, i'm back at work now and slowly getting used to being back in my old routine although i am taking it slow and only doing mornings. I'm back at the hospital tomorrow to meet my oncology team 😬 which is quite scary as i'm not really sure what to expect

@Lostmymind11 I’ve have just found your thread and followed your journey.

I am on preventative treatment for breast cancer, so know only too well how cancer robs you of your peace of mind.

I too have a young child and have daily fears of the cancer coming back.

I think this is a very natural reaction to a very traumatic life event…and hard to fully comprehend unless you’ve experienced it.

Most people think when the cancer has gone… you are ‘done’. But post treatment can be difficult too.

if you have got access to counselling or a support group, then I can recommend it. You deserve not to live your life in fear of what might or might not happen in the future.

Wishing you a long and healthy life, enjoying your son as he grows up ❤️

@Lostmymind11 Thank you for the update. I hope and pray that you continue to improve and that your meeting with the oncology team goes well.

It's good to read that you are back at work but taking it slow. That's wise s there is no sense in you burning out or making yourself ill by getting back into it too fast.

Take care and know that many of us think about you often and wish you the best.
