Sorry if this is on the wrong thread but i'm not sure where to put it

Nearly 2yrs ago i had surgery to remove a sarcoma (no treatment afterwards as not needed). My 6 month scan was clear and i had another scan 4wks ago to check if it had come back. The hospital have rang today and told me they had booked me in next Friday to see a member of the surgery team. I am abaolutely terrified and beside myself with worry. I am a single parent to a very young child who has no contact with dad due to domestic abuse. I barely have any family/friend support. If the cancer is back i really don't know what i will do. I feel physically ill

So glad to hear that they got it all. Now all you have to do is rest and recover. Sleep is so important.

Silvers11 · 02/05/2024 19:14

That's excellent news that they removed it all, but not so good about the blood clot - but does sound as if you are now properly on the mend. Sleep is the best thing for aiding recovery.

poetryandwine · 02/05/2024 19:51

Very glad the clot was caught quickly, OP. It sounds like you’ve got a great surgeon. Please let us know how you are doing when you feel up to it

Just checking for your update. Despite your set back it sounds like you're back on track and you have an amazing surgeon. Sending positive thoughts and best wishes for your healing x

Namechangechangeobv · 03/05/2024 03:51

That’s great news. The main thing with a sarcoma is removing it with good margins. A recurrence, as long as not in the lungs, can just be a one off. My DH just had his 6 year all clear following sarcoma #2. Here’s to recovery OP. 💐

GetSomeNaiceHam · 03/05/2024 04:01

Thinking of you and your son. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Take care @Lostmymind11 x

I couldn't of asked for a better surgeon and medical team they were amazing. Not only did my surgeon come back in to do my 2nd surgery but his medical staff all came back in as well. I have never been so scared in my life but i'm waiting to finally go home tonight. Its been a long day
