Ok really random, but are my eyes hazel or brown? Excuse my terrible lashes. Filling out a form and apparently the difference is significant, so I need to get it right lol

Oh wow it so hard to get a good clear pic 😅 here is one in outside light that I think reflects more accurately. My whole life I thought they were brown but a few people have commented on my “green” eyes. So I thought it might mean they were actually hazel.

Yep, still brown.

They are very definitely brown OP. I have green eyes and they look nothing like yours.

Definitely brown. My best pal has hazel eyes and they're very distinctive, the green and brown are both clear. Yours are solid brown. Looking yellowy or gold in certain lights is normal, especially sunlight.

What?! 😂 if I thought I ‘knew’ they were hazel I would not have asked what people what colour they thought they were. I don’t actually care one way or the other what colour they are, but at a push I’d probably rather they were brown as that what’s I’ve always thought they were 🤭

I'm not sure if this helps you for comparison purposes - my optician friend says that I've got hazel eyes.

Think your optician friend might need to go to Specsavers 'cause hazel they are not.

I don't think that goldierocks has hazel eyes either - more bluey/grey. Hazel eyes a re yellowy/greeny/brown - very pretty indeed.

Mine are variously described as light brown, hazel or golden depending on the light and I reckon are probably quite similar to OP. I'm happy with brown, but compared to my OH brown eyes they are very light and outside they are very gold looking

Actually it’s a bit daft, but I’m buying something that customised to skin, hair & eye colour. So wanted to get it right. I’m aware it’s all probably a gimmick but want to try it lol.

yeah compared to my mum’s brown eyes they don’t look as dark. Funny I can see goldierocks as green with brown flecks. So I can see why her optician friend says hazel.

OP I would say your eyes are definitely brown.

Ok consensus is they are brown, thank you everyone for taking time to vote & comment ❤️ and thank you everyone for showing me ur eyes, my eyes are definitely darker by comparison. Now I’m away to purchase, as they say, a fool & their money are easily parted 🙃

What I've learned from this thread is that nobody knows what colour hazel is.

Those last eyes posted are fucking green.

Well, that's in the sun when they do appear kind of yellowy green...but overall I've always thought hazel.
Another pic below shows more brown tints.

Yes these are hazel!

Unlike the two other posters whose eyes were grey, and green respectively.
