I’m with Stephen Fry, if god really created everything then why are there so many awful creatures and illnesses out there (why did there need to be a parasitic worm that causes bilharzia)? Christianity takes the view that god gave us the Earth and everything in it to do with as we saw fit which isn’t working out too well. Bring back the pagan religions that said what you took from the earth you gave back, (only we don’t need ritual sacrifices of people or animals).

I think that people who bang on about their half baked notion of "Biblical femininity" (as prescribed by men) have missed the bits about Jael and a number of other ladies in both the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament.

I actually find the idea of born-again fundamental Christianity quite interesting, especially how it works with the OPs history of things like the occult.
