I raise my hands in praise and worship, speak in tongues and have seen a friend's physical healing of a long standing disability.

It makes me laugh when people bang on about 'biblical femininity" because it has next to nothing in common with how Jewish women of the bible lived.

Do you believe God made your friend disabled and then healed them? If so for what purpose? As a test?

If God was not responsible for the disability then who was/is? Why was your friend healed but others aren’t?

Also, I grew up in a fundamentalist church. It was extremely traumatising.

I do actually believe in evolution and stuff. I know that probably stops me qualifying as a True Fundie though. A Priest said to me that after all we don't know how long one of God's days is.

Generally, the bible is a pretty good framework for life. You can't go too wrong with the 10 commandments
It has absolutely no concept of women’s rights and hardly touches on human rights. The Old and New Testament are ok with slavery.

I like to think we now have better moral
codes to guide us. Hell, our own UK laws are a vast improvement on what’s in the Bible.
