To think this is a vote winner (though not election clincher) from Sunak?

Thought this was an impressive and clear response to the question, from Rishi. I suppose Labour will likely win by a landslide, because many people don’t care enough about women’s rights. Because I do care very much about women’s rights, I may vote Conservative for the first time ever (cue outrage for Lion). Will I regret it? Possibly. But I’d regret voting for Labour (aka women’s rights removers), even more.

Blimey, your daughters will even have to share changing rooms with trans girls.

Can children access female or male changing rooms and toilets in gymnastics clubs just by saying they identify with that gender? We are aware of trans children who are currently participating in the sport, some of whom have transitioned at an early age and are only known to their peers in their affirmed gender. It is obviously a big decision to transition and the child and their family would usually have received support from GPs, NHS, family therapy and other specialist services. These children should, if they wish, be able to access toilets and changing rooms in their affirmed gender.

What a time to be female.

Riley Gains has been clear on the impact of sharing changing rooms with Lia Thomas, everyone had to ignore the elephant in the room. No one gave a shit about the fact that this was demeaning to the females.

lifeturnsonadime · 13/02/2024 15:30

Jesus this gets worse ;

if they wish, be able to access toilets and changing rooms in their affirmed gender. If a trans participant wishes to join the club, and they do not wish to be open about their trans status, and it would not otherwise be apparent, the club representative should have a confidential conversation with the participant to discuss how their needs can be best supported. It would be inappropriate and potentially unlawful to identify them as trans for the purpose of consulting with other participants and/or their parents about their access to changing rooms and toilets.

We won't even tell you the changing room is mix sexed.

I couldn’t possibly vote for the party that created food bank Britain.

horseyhorsey17 · 13/02/2024 15:39

Vote Tory if you want but don't pretend to be a feminist. Everything they've done has f*ed women over, particularly poor women, disabled women and women of colour.

Of course if you're a well-off middle class white woman you'll be fine with them anyway. You can answer all the desperate posts on here from women struggling to get by with 'eat fewer avocados and cancel all your subscriptions.'

You do realise that minority / vulnerable women are more likely to be impacted by Labour failing to resolve the single sex space issue as they are more likely to need to use refuges and end up in prison?

Not to mention it is religious minority women and sexual abuse survivors who are more likely to self exclude from society if there are no single sex spaces.

You'd think that protecting these women would be a priority for Labour. But it isn't.

Piss poor effort. 1/10

You sound rattled. Splendid (awaits denial of 'OP' being IN THE LEAST BIT RATTLED). And tbh, I would be in your shoes.

Amusingly ironic criticism of 'tit for tat' as you go on to call people who think differently to you as being intellectually challenged. Name calling is rather a thing for you lot though, isn't it?

Any more luck over on Reddit?

Yes that was a bit unnecessary. I take it back. If that’s allowed.

Yet you can't (or won't) even answer my question. It is not rubbish. We've heard of women that are restricting their fluids during the day in case they have to use the mixed sex toilets at work. Thus risking a UTI. Which can cause Sepsis. We've heard of women avoiding participating in society - sports, plays, cinema. Etc. In case their is no female toilets. You have your head in the sand. And you are ignorant - and worse, callous and indifferent to the suffering of women, girls, and rape/abuse survivors. How privileged your position is.

Some girls are refusing to go to school when they have their periods. Also restricting drinks etc.

They are on record saying that they will protect single sex spaces. But lifeturnsonadime I'm not planning to have an eternal debate with you about this yet again, so no point in peppering me with endless questions and demands.

Yet Rainbow Labour and Trans Labour are ON RECORD as saying they won't allow transwomen to be blocked from single sex spaces.

So, WHO THE F&CK DO WE BELIEVE? Starmer? Or Trans Labour?

Interesting that you avoid this question.

Right back at you if you can afford to vote Conservative on the back on this issue (which Labour have taken on board and gone on record to state their position for a sensible way forward for both sides of the argument).

No, the Trussell Trust started in 2000, but food banks go back way further, back to Victorian times.

They can't do that without amendments to the Equality Act which they are refusing to make.

So no, they are not protecting women's single sex spaces at all.

The women who tend to lose out most as a result are vulnerable/ minority women and girls.

It is gender that is the privileged belief system.

I think it is awful that in a democratic society the Labour Party who are supposed to be the protector of the people are leaving a loophole and refusing to engage in changing the laws to address it. That after seeing the real harms caused to vulnerable women.

I never said that I would vote conservative. Just that I could not vote Labour.

Now. How about you have the intellectual and moral courage to answer my question? Everyone on this thread can see you're avoiding answering it. If you were discussing in good faith, you would answer it.

On womens single sex spaces. I repeat my post to you above, @hotinhereandthere :

When we have Labour saying women can have penises, and when we have Rainbow Labour and Trans Labour saying they will never allow a transwoman to be ousted from womens spaces - who do we believe? ???

Who do we believe?

I'd believe the ones who appear to be telling the truth, over the ones who have been led by a proven liar and continue to try to legislate "alternative facts".

Some women have penises. Because a GRC changes sex, legally. There are about 5000 people with a GRC, some of whom have a penis and therefore are legally women with a penis. Starmer was telling the truth.

Meanwhile the Conservatives are attempting to legislate that Rwanda is a safe country, despite accepting asylum seekers from Rwanda. Their previous prime minister was found to have "knowingly misled parliament" aka lied. Their Home Secretary wrote an article on the Daily Mail that the mail had to print a correction for, because it was not accurate.

It's a bit of a no-brainer as to who to believe really
