To not vote Labour because of their abhorrent views on the female sex?

1000 replies

Lion400 · 05/02/2024 18:43

Starmer cannot represent women, he can’t even define us. Questioning a trans person is a hate crime, but misogyny is not. Sorry Labour, you’ve lost my vote. Have they lost anyone else’s??

‘On trans ideology, the vast majority of voters, and certainly a majority of traditional Labour voters from working class backgrounds, tend to cast a sceptical eye on the tenets of an ideological movement that asserts that biological men must be accepted as women – and be offered similar rights and access to women’s spaces and sports as women – simply by asserting their new status’

Transgender ideology has created the biggest medical scandal of our generation

Vulnerable young people who transitioned before they were ready are paying a high price for this disastrous project

Yesterday on the other thread I said Starmer is either stupid or a liar to say 1% of women have a penis, and you said:

Odd definition when a "lie" is a legally accurate statement that would be fully defensible in court

But now you're saying people can't change sex.

It does seem a bit like you want it both ways (a bit like the Labour party, I suppose).

It was sarcasm because in general you guys get very sniffy when I point out starmer was talking about legal sex and is therefore correct when he said 99% of women don't have a penis.

"You can't change sex, he's a liar" you say.

But when it suits you the GRA does change sex.

Obviously now I have to explain because it flew over your head. Then that will be somehow me "scolding" or making you feel stupid.

I prefer the phrase "ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer"

Why is it a stupid question?

How does making the process of obtaining a GRC easier which enables males to falsify their birth certificate by making the sex marker for those males Female, help protect women's single sex spaces?

It just makes no sense whatsoever.

The fact that the Labour policies make no sense (in respect of the protection of women's rights) doesn't make it a stupid question!

Just to add a couple more:

It is the conservatives who have legislated to remove the rights of part time and agency workers to the same paid leave and sick pay as full time workers, which disproportionately affects women.

It is the conservatives who have failed to implement the legislation on buffer zones for abortion clinics, leaving women still open to harrassment by forced birthers.

It is under the conservatives that more women have been prosecuted and jailed for procuring illegal abortions than in any of the past 20 years.

Conservatives. They know what a woman is. 🙄

I DO NOT WANT to vote Conservative. I have never voted Conservative. I do not like the Conservatives.

However, when the leader of the Labour party says some women have penises, and the leader of the lib dems says he doesn't want my vote and the leader of the Greens refers to me as a 'non man', I cannot vote for any of them either.

It is not my fault that the left has lost its collective mind over gender ideology, and the right have made some hay with the resultant sunshine.

Do not blame politically homeless women for the left selling us out.

BIossomtoes · 06/02/2024 18:40

Disingenuous too. It’s abundantly obvious what game you’re playing here.

Shall i add 'playing games' to the insult list.

No I'm just a concerned mother and wanna be Labour voter, as I have been in the past. I would like Labour to have a clear position on this.

Why don't you?

pointythings · 06/02/2024 18:45

If the Tories get in again because of your kind - hell yes, I'll blame you. And so should every human being who will be pushed deeper into poverty.

RebelliousCow · 06/02/2024 17:23

I'm not sure why you are posting stuff about Maria Miller again - we all know she is a TRA activist, as are a couple of other Tories ( Caroline Nokes, Crispin Blunt) Difference is that for Labour gender ideology is party policy - not so with the Tory party.

Stop trying to distract from the issues with Labour and why women feel they cannot be trusted.

Crispin Blunt is no longer a member of the Conservative Party he was kicked out.
the prospective conservative candidate is full on GC

Your kind (sighs)....

Women who want women to have adequate legal protection to single sex spaces and for children not to be harmed by an ideology based on a lie.

Yep!

And the Conservatives who underfunded children's mental health services to the point that it basically doesn't function for most people. Disgusting on its own and also more likely to disproportionately impact women.

Why would you consider it an insult? It’s what you do on these threads. And that post was blatant.

Why don't you blame Labour, for refusing to kick the ball in a wide open goal?

It is not my fault that Labour are cowards who would rather sell out women than anger TRAs.

Blatant how?

Sorry Blossom you've lost me.

As you won't explain I'll leave you to it.

I stated why I don't believe trans women are woman for the purpose of things that impact women as a sex class and was called a transphobe. I asked why because I don't think I am.

Apparently that is playing games.

No, women who will condemn millions of other women (and men and children) to five more years of corruption, erosion of rights and freedoms and destruction of our democracy. Over one single issue that involves a fraction of a percentage of the population of the UK. The vast majority of rapes are not committed by transwomen, but to listen to the GC Ultras (and what a useful term that is!) you'd think the trans movement was responsible for every single ill in society.

And I haven't even mentioned all the transwomen who are not sexual predators. Well, I have now.

Ultra GC's !

Oh my goodness it's impossible to have a rational discussion.

Please tell me why Labour are putting males first by making some of them legal women and why I should STFU about it?

Or do YOU believe that some men are women in some circumstances and are you prepared to throw vulnerable women under the bus too?

Starmer was not asked for a legal definition in his capacity as a lawyer. He was asked if women have penises and he said yes.

It most certainly does not suit me that the GRA pretends that people can change sex. A piece of paper, very obviously, cannot change a person's sex. It suits TRAs very nicely though, because it muddies sex and gender and allows males to change their sex marker on their ID to say that their sex, not gender but sex, is female, and that's a problem.

But you already knew that.

The GRC process already exists.
I take exception to your characterisation that making it cheaper and less bureaucratic is making it "easier".

Even if it is "easier" , then you'd need some evidence that 1) more people will be granted a GRC, as opposed to the same number will be granted, but those people will have a more pleasant experience and 2) TW with a GRC have more access to womens spaces than TW without one. As people keep saying, you don't know which TW have a GRC so I don't believe this is true.

Therefore the argument that Labour are increasing risk to women doesn't stack up in this context.

No parties propose to get rid of the GRA, that's just a fact, and the Conservatives are also proposing making it less bureaucratic and "kinder" so it's illogical to base your vote on the idea that "Labour will weaken womens rights" because of their position on the GRA.

I feel like I'm in groundhog day

Believe me, me too!

Why not revoke it altogether? They've seen it harms women and if, as you are suggesting, it won't mean that men with the sex marker F on their birth certificate can access spaces reserved for women, what's the point in it in the first place?

I think you need to read back the wording of your original post. You were clearly stating aspects of it and not questioning. It very much sounded like you were the spokeswoman for women and I don't need someone to tell me my opinion thanks.

‘Sorry Labour, you’ve lost my vote. Have they lost anyone else’s??’
