No it's about him receiving a standard of care, privacy and dignity that is denied to everyone else because of a bullshit belief that he was appointed by god.

If the NHS is so fucking amazing why isn't he being treated in the NHS on an open ward where it's impossible to sleep or have any dignity?

Of course Charles is going to get special treatment. He's a Head of State.

Do you think Emmanuel Macron or Joe Biden would be treated on a public ward?

I have three unwell relatives. Two with cancer and one with something else. I don’t begrudge anyone else getting private healthcare.

I begrudge the fact our NHS is failing and the Tories for doing that. But I don’t begrudge anyone else who has the means to get private healthcare and chooses to. That’s life in a capitalist society.

Christmasisalmosthere · 05/02/2024 21:07

Bladder cancer could be a strong option.Wishing him the very best, interesting given his views on a slimmed down monarchy.

MostlyHappyMummy · 05/02/2024 21:08

Nobody believes he was appointed by God. The RF are rich, that is why they are in a position of power. They have historical wealth and are all descended from nobility. They would still be rich and get private treatment even if we abolished the monarchy.

Edited

The most likely diagnosis TBH .Definitely a part of he anatomy that would have been checked out whist having the prostate investigated.

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 05/02/2024 21:11

Charles dies, Kate and William decide to live as quietly as they can to give poorly Kate a calm and stress free life. Harry and Megan move into Buckingham Palace

I assume we're ignoring the three children in the line of succession above Harry in this load of cock.

This.

I wonder if passiveconstellation feels the same about everyone with inherited wealth or just the RF?

Honestly, I don't care.

My mum has been on a waiting list for over a year for major heart surgery while her quality of life gets worse every day.

Meanwhile some unelected spoilt rich man gets right to the front of the queue and blanket media coverage. Yeah, I don't want anyone to get ill but why should I give a fuck about Charles being sick?

That’s awful for you and I don’t wish anyone this…

But I think just good wishes are good karma and the facts are, someone’s dad and someone’s husband and someone’s grandad has been diagnosed with cancer. It’s very sad, and it’s okay to say that.

Not caring about one particular person being ill doesn't make me a cunt. I don't want him to be ill, he's a human being after all, but I don't believe he deserves any particular special treatment when people I do care about are being failed by the system which is currently focusing every possible resource his way.

There are lots of people who are sick you don't care about. Are you a thundering, callous cunt too?

MolkosTeenageAngst · 05/02/2024 21:21

Oh well.

2dogsandabudgie · 05/02/2024 21:24

SkulkHollow - Cancer doesn't discriminate between rich and poor people. If caught early enough it can be successfully treated, if not and it has spread and a person is diagnosed as terminal no amount of money will change that.

Viviennemary · 05/02/2024 21:25

Cloudbuggi · 05/02/2024 19:17

Money doesn't stop you dying of cancer. Look at Steve Jobs, alongside all the other extremely rich people who have died of cancer.

Absolutely. Money did not stop Paul MCartneys wife Linda dying at a relatively young age.

FluffyFanny · 05/02/2024 21:27

I've had cancer treatment on the NHS and definitely felt like everything they has was thrown my way.

I very much doubt he'll be treated while others are left to die with the same condition. It just doesn't work like that. There are set treatments for different kinds of cancer- that is why treatment for cancer is no better for private patients than the NHS. And it's usually the same specialists treating both sets of patients anyway. The only difference is that private hospitals are more comfortable and you get your own room and nicer food.

doilooklikeicare · 05/02/2024 21:28

@Jessforless karma is a lot of utter bollocks!

It's good karma, my fucking arse'

Noangelbuthavingfun · 05/02/2024 21:28

Think there's a chance its very early stages bladder cancer... treatment for prostate will pick up bladder issues as closely linked. Wishing him well soon and a speedy recovery

JenniferBooth · 05/02/2024 21:28

Horrible news but ITV news went on about this for a full hour and a half. They kept repeating it..............like Jive Bunny

ismu · 05/02/2024 21:30

I think it's more serious than is being disclosed, possibly leukaemia or similar unfortunately. Charles probably has extremely regular checks for blood count, polyps etc and so it would need to be something with a fairly rapid onset. Don't think it's looking too good sadly.

NerrSnerr · 05/02/2024 21:33

Ok so this thread has decided he has prostate cancer, bladder cancer, testicular cancer, skin cancer, bowel cancer, leukaemia. Any others I have missed? All spoken with authority as if the posters know, with the little information given.

Let him disclose as much or little as he wants. It's his health.

What are you basing this on?
the statement from BP references HMK still undertaking state business and official paperwork. My interpretation is that he is under going chemotherapy and he has had early intervention.

You've no idea and are totally projecting...

I'll not start worrying about a black veil just yet!
