To ask your opinion on these chairs?

We ordered the table and chairs in the second photo, I had my heart set on chairs with knockers.
The correct table arrived but they send the chairs in the second photo accidentally.
They have offered to either replace the chairs with the ones we originally ordered within 10-14 days, or if we keep the chairs sent in error they will send us £120. Which do you prefer? Do you think the knocker chairs look smart?

Neither and No are perfectly valid responses to the question.

It's not like we are going round to a mates house and giving unsolicited opinions on her chairs.

Both styles look like they've come from Mrs Hinch style in 2018, so naff and chavvy. Knockers and studs are both so dated now and they were dreadful when they were in fashion. But the wrong ones are slightly better than the knocker ones.

I wanted chairs with knockers for years now, but I actually think the other ones look more modern and stylish. I prefer them. I'd keep them and put it down as a happy accident!

Since OP has already bought and received the chairs, knocking them is just a bit pointless, and OP's question wasn't an invitation for insults about her taste in furniture. Needlessly rude, which is what you have to expect on AIBU, I suppose.

I'd save the money and keep the ones you have, if you're not set on the other style.

I like the ones they sent by accident more. Both are very nice and they are quite similar. I wldnt be fussed about the knocker but if it was something I really wanted then I'd want them to replace.

You could be really cheeky and say I'd they make it £150 you'll keep them 😂 I think they prob wld give you a bit more if you asked. It's a massive hassle for them.

I prefer chairs without any fancy bits on so not keen on either but would keep the 'wrong' ones as knockers seem outdated to me.

Ones with no knockers much nicer

Are they really called knockers? If so, why? Knockers make a knocking sound on a door. You don't need that for chairs. Surely they're handles for moving the chair?

Every day's a school day. This is the first I've ever heard of, or seen, chairs with knockers. What are they for, or is it just some daft decoration? Prefer the knocker-less ones. So much greyness though.

Why on earth can you buy chairs with knockers? What's the point? They look ridiculous IMHO.

Chairs with knickers are a little 2018 IMO

I have the 2nd ones! Absolutely love them. So comfy. Much nicer than the knockers.

Especially the high leg ones.

I've never seen chairs with knockers. What's the purpose? I hate both but the ones without knockers are less bad.

And as I have been reliably informed upthread, they are to make it easier to pull the chair out. So not in fact knockers but ring pulls.

Still think it seems overkill on the chair front.

🤣🤣 Chairs with knickers might be nice. And practical. You could change the colour to suit your decor.
