To ask your opinion on these chairs?

We ordered the table and chairs in the second photo, I had my heart set on chairs with knockers.
The correct table arrived but they send the chairs in the second photo accidentally.
They have offered to either replace the chairs with the ones we originally ordered within 10-14 days, or if we keep the chairs sent in error they will send us £120. Which do you prefer? Do you think the knocker chairs look smart?

The ones sent in error are nicer. Although neither are to my taste

I think chairs with knockers look tacky and cheap, so I would be delighted the other ones got delivered. But I wouldn’t buy the other ones either, so my opinion here is probably entirely unhelpful.

This. I think they will date more quickly too.

Neither are my style, they’re a bit tacky. But I’d much rather have the ones without knockers than the ones with.

Both are very dated and tacky. But the knockers are truly awful so be glad they at least didn’t send you those.

But you are the one who should like them, it really doesn’t matter what we think. I have many things that other people would think are awful I’m sure.

Well OP, you say that you had your heart set on the knockers. So you must really like and want the knockers and be disappointed that what you received wasn’t what you ordered.

It doesn’t matter if a thousand people reply to your thread saying they dislike the ‘knocker chairs’ - they’re going to be in your house and you’ll be looking at them every day. Are you going to spend years thinking “I wish I had the knocker chairs” each time you look at them?

In your home you can have whatsoever you chose - ‘personal taste’ is very much that, personal! You don’t need anybody else’s opinion. If you like and want the knocker chairs, bloody well get them!

I suppose it’s easier for the company involved to return a small amount of money and have you keep the wrong chairs, than go to effort of delivering the correct ones and taking away the others. But I’d say they’ve delivered something you didn’t order and they need to put it right - it’s not up to you to do mental acrobatics to make yourself be okay with not getting what you ordered and paid for.

I'd keep the replacements and the £120 for sure. (I don't like the colour and style but as they're similar to the original choice I assume the op does)

I'm with the majority. The ones without the hoops on the back are the better of those two options.

I always asume people who have knockers on chairs use them to tie each other up.

Which ones do you like best OP? It doesn’t matter if other people like or dislike either chair as they are not the ones living in your house using and looking at them.

I never even knew you could get chairs with knockers on. I’m sorry OP but for the love of god why?! I don’t like either style but you dodged a bullet with the chairs they sent you.

The knockers are very dated and rather tacky now. Keep the ones you've been sent and pocket the £120.

Same here too. Neither are to my personal taste but if I had to choose, it would be the second set by a country mile.
