I love reading/ hearing about what people have eaten for some reason!
I like telling people what I have eaten too but often they think I'm weird, haha.

So, would you share what you had today and if it was good or bad? (Taste wise, not judging the health benefits)

Mine so far was...
Half a pack of cadbury mini eggs (omg sooo good! will finish them after dinner!)
4 quorn mini eggs (there's a theme here for some reason!)
3 x tea with 2 sugars and milk (twining english breakfast)- my new fave. PG have changed the recipe the bastards!
2 glasses white wine (yummm)
2 satsumas, one with too many pips (why everything is round shaped today?)
& and going to have quiche lorraine with potatoes and salad...(not my fave but my my nice fish is in the freezer and the quiche will go off tomorrow).

Come and share your day's meals with me : )
Or, think I am a weirdo for asking such things? ; /

I rarely eat before 1pm so I had half a wrap with coleslaw peppers onion and small bit of cheese and a handful of chips. For dinner I ate a toasted small roll of mozzarella onion tomato and hot sauce.

Unicornpuzzle · 24/01/2024 21:26

So this was me - follower of the Tim Spector plant-based, fermented food, intermittent fasting way of eating:

Breakfast: Coffee with dash of soy milk.

Lunch: Salad with smoked salmon, avocado, rocket, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, radish, sweetcorn, beetroot kim chi, home-grown broccoli sprouts and edamame beans, and topped with extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, sumac, mixed herbs, black pepper and mixed seeds. And a sheet of nori.

Dinner: Home-made three bean chilli served with pearl barley, topped with kefir, sumac, black pepper and flaked almonds. I had this with a smaller side salad version of the above (but without the salmon or avocado this time).

Dessert: 2 x squares 100% dark chocolate from Cocoa Runners.

Snacks: A small Rocha pear and some blueberries.

Drinks: Genmaichai green tea throughout the day, home-made kefir water and a Becks Blue before dinner.

In fairness, this was a particularly good day though...

This is how I aspire to eat!

Sturmundcalm · 24/01/2024 21:31

apple; porridge (standard breakfast - did the job)
tomato & veg soup - one of my better versions (do prefer it with red pepper included in the random veg)
snowball - bit dry if I'm honest but the cup of tea and the company made it good
fried egg sandwich; banana - can't beat fried egg sandwich ever... and i do eat a banana most days as well
meatballs & spaghetti; salad; crusty bread with oil & vinegar - v nice but the bread i bought was a bit bland/doughy, preferred last week's sourdough one

wellitywellness · 24/01/2024 21:33

@applewood87 this is only possible due to a) being single, b) batch cooking and c) not having any social or work commitments today!

Hesleepswiththefishes · 24/01/2024 21:33

wfh so always make extra supper for lunch next day

Left over carbonara for lunch

Snowdogsmitten · 24/01/2024 21:34

Tea with skim milk
Homemade flat white with skim milk
Banana
Wholemeal bagel toasted with peanut butter and sliced apple

Mackerel in olive oil on wholemeal toast, topped with pea shoots, spinach, chilli oil and raw shallot sliced finely

Deliciously Ella’s new recipe book’s spinach orzo, but made with reduced fat coconut milk and homemade pesto and topped with Parmesan, so it’s not vegan

3 Nairns wholemeal biscuits with dark chocolate

3 litres of water

1 marshmallow. A pink one. Obviously.

everygreensock · 24/01/2024 21:35

2 slices of toast - one with marmite, one with peanut butter.
Lentil crisps with hummus
Cadbury dairy milk
Cheese and onion crisps
Pesto pin wheels, yet more hummus and salad for tea
Bit of a random and salty day!

And frazzles!

DiscoBeat · 24/01/2024 21:36

I try to get my 30 a week in and it started well - brunch smoothie with apple, carrot spinach, banana, turmeric. But then I went to a funeral and there were delicious canapes afterwards so I ate too many of them. Healthy dinner of vegetable curry and black bean salad but then I caved into a couple of glasses of midweek wine! Hopefully I'll have better resolve tomorrow...

BeFrankforonce · 24/01/2024 21:36

Coffee and cream
Bowl home made fennel soup (fennel bulbs, seeds, onion, celery, garlic, apple, chicken bone broth),
Small chopped cabbage, celery, carrot and fennel salad with tiny bit of mayo
Protein bar (choccie flavour)
Collagen smoothie thing with water (choccie)
One more small bowl of the soup
Only 300 calories left unless I go on the bike
Loads of very very weak squash with that ikea bilberry cordial.

Carsarelife · 24/01/2024 21:36

2 chocolate biscuits
3 cheese crackers
1 bag skips
Steak with a horseradish melt, chips and coleslaw
Mini chocolate posset
5 or 6 cups of tea

Wigtopia · 24/01/2024 21:38

I’m enjoying reading these. Today I had…

Large brekkie - scrambled egg with rocket on toast followed by yogurt and blueberries

lunch - cheese and cucumber sandwich
dinner - gnocchi with arrabiata sauce (and the rest of the bag of rocket)

snacks - chocolate covered almonds in the day, and in the evening a glass of red wine with cheese puff crisps 😍

I love talking about food too. Whenever i speak to my mum or nan we always ask what has been eaten so far that day and what food plans are for later 😃 very good obsessed family, but with a healthy obsession/relationship with food!!!

Pandaandpurple · 24/01/2024 21:39

I had a banana for breakfast, a chicken sandwich, regular bag of crisps, a few munchies (bag shared with family) for lunch, Kit Kat (snack), chicken, chorizo and veg bake for dinner, half a 500ml bottle of Coke Zero, a few cups of tea and some apple and blackcurrant cordial.

Chocolatepeanutbuttercupsandicecream · 24/01/2024 21:40

Two hotel chocolates (my mum was given a box for Christmas but can’t eat them so I happily took them off her hands!)
Lots of coffee and blackcurrant squash.

Summerrabbit · 24/01/2024 21:35
