BBC reported a trial of men who had cut off body parts of other men.

One gave consent to having his penis and testicles cut off. Another his nipple and yet another his leg.

There was a case twenty or thirty years ago where a group of men made their own videos. One of the videos appeared to show a man nailing another person's penis to a piece of wood.
In reality, the penis was already pierced and the nail did no damage but the person doing the nailing got charged as though he had. I think that's the origin o the 'consent is no excuse' view.

I've seen this case come up in news reports over the last few weeks and just can't begin to comprehend it. Just... why?!

What is even wicker is the fact that he had done the exact same operation to numerous men previously.
Atleast one of these men was actually a teenager 16, or 18, I can't quite remember.

The main one was actually called the eunic maker online apparently I read a few articles about him and this situation. I was bewildered and wanted to try and understand what the fuck makes someone do this to themselves, turns out I just had more questions the more I read

I completely agree a think a lot of people are still absolutely devastated for them girls,the way they weren't belived how they were treated and still there is still men out there walking the streets not even been punished for the lifetime of pain they caused those girls.

In a therapy session once I spoke about my childhood and how it affects my opinions of men.and he threw me the line that not all men abuse children.i said maybe not but that not all men like seems to get thrown around a lot,and i think a lot of men see behaviors and things happening and they wont challenge other men on that.

I remember seeing a news article from many years ago now, where a surgeon in Falkirk amputated two people's 100% healthy legs (one leg each iirc), because the patients were convinced in their minds that the legs were diseased/harmful/deadly or similar.

It's entirely unethical to know full well that somebody needs mental healthcare and, instead, to give them wholly unnecessary and damaging physical 'treatment'. As is often pointed out on the trans 'affirming surgery' threads, no doctor would see a 5-stone adult patient with anorexia that makes her believe she is very overweight and deliberately facilitate/enable her to lose even more weight.

Yes this all sounds a lot like a case from years back, can't remember what happened there. It was also a group of men. There was also a video circulating on email some time in the early 2000s (possibly late 90s) that showed a man being nailed to a piece of wood as described above, along with an even worse one. There are some right wrong uns out there.

Oh, you haven't been on the Internet for long, have you? I've read quite a few times about women doing various things to try to lop off each other's / their own bits. It's apparently called Body Integrity Dysphoria (or Body Integrity Identity Dysphoria) among both men and women.

Though, there apparently is a "nullo" subculture which 1 source says has more men than women.

There was a documentary about it. Apparently the guy who answered the ad wanted to also eat his own penis but in the end he couldn't because it was too tough, so the guy who cut it off fried it for him but then it was too burnt. Then he died and the dog had it.
