Most people - including women - liked HW until she started to show her true colours.
I genuinely thought she was just a nice lass. I love to see women doing well, because it’s a victory for all of us.
I thought she was nice until I realised she wasn’t.
Very specifically I thought HW was superior, condescending and deceitful about going to see the Queen’s coffin. Neither her nor Schofield could summon a genuine apology.
I thought she was hugely disrespectful to Schofield’s wife when he came out as gay, squealing about whether there was anyone special and future dating. Wildly inappropriate.
She was very vocal about being BFF with Schofield once he was publicly out as gay - they did everything together. They even holidayed together and bought holiday homes next to each other. I don’t believe for a second she didn’t see what was going on with the young runner. She either knew or chose to turn a blind eye. But when Schofield was publicly slammed, she dropped him like a stone as it would have been career suicide. In the same way that as he became Mr Popular after announcing he was gay, she was quick to hitch her wagon to his.
I don’t think she’s a nice person. She’s beautiful and has a lovely figure, and she’s good at presenting- but nice? No.
Reiterating the point that no one deserves death threats. But just because she’s had a death threat doesn’t mean that any of her previous behaviour should suddenly be ignored.
None of the above means I hate women. I don’t even hate HW. I just don’t think she’s as nice as she’d like us to think.
I could give you a long list of beautiful , talented women - starting with Hannah Waddingham - that I admire. It’s possible to dislike someone’s behaviour without it being due to “hating women”.
