Kyle Walker

Much as I try to advice this kind of ‘news’ it is everywhere atm.

Anyone else reading this news and thinking if he wasn’t a footballer he’d just be a waste of space cock lodger?

I continue to be amazed at what women will tolerate for the sake of money or in the pursuit of fame.

Basically he fathered a child with another woman whilst being married. His wife stood by him. He publicly declared OW was nothing to him. He’s now admitted he’s the father of the OW’s second child. His wife has kicked him out but I wouldn’t be surprised if she takes him back and it seems the OW is doing the pick me dance.

Not sure if it’s fair to call Annie a gold digger. Surely when they first met they were two teenagers and he was just starting out, he probably didn’t earn the big bucks for years. At that stage, your career can go either way - even really good players don’t always get picked up by the big money clubs.

For all she knew, he might not have got any further than some lower league club but she still stayed with him.

I definitely don’t think he’s the only famous footballer to have fathered a child outside his marriage. There have been rumours about Beckham and Redknapp for years, the difference is these people normally have the help of a super injunction (like Ryan Giggs), there’s probably loads of those in place right now.

If Kyle had visited his solicitor sharpish, we wouldn’t be talking about this now.

@VisionsOfSplendour

Why would the media be keeping that under wraps.

I don't think the media is "keeping it under wraps" as such but footballers getting pissed and ordering some escorts is too routine to be newsworthy unless the footballer in question is a multi-million pound ace with one of the UK's most successful teams and the subject of a lawsuit.

I'm not sure who your home town team players are but I doubt any of them are that kind of box office. If one of them is on megabucks, is married and gets snapped with an escort on each knee it would probably get into the tabloids.

Kyle Walker is very high profile and there's an almighty slanging match going on between his wife and his mistress but at the lower end of the financial scale I'm sure there are similar things playing out on a weekly basis but not at that scale.

At any rate you'd have to be crazy to marry a bloke playing for a PL club and expect him to keep it in his trousers.

I honestly don't think we should put all PL players in the same camp as Walker. There have always been cheats but there are also those who respect their wives/girlfriends who you hear absolutely nothing bad about.

Sartre · 14/01/2024 16:34

Nobody seems to be targeting him very much which is standard in this sort of situation. The majority of vitriol is aimed at both women- the wife for being a ‘doormat’ and the OW for, well, being the OW.

He’s the biggest one to blame here. Who knows what sort of bullshit he told the OW, could have convinced her it was over with his wife in a bid to be taken back. Men do this shit all of the time and it’s always the women who get the blame.

Maybe they're not all as bad as him. But what it boils down to is that the women who marry these blokes marry them for their money. That's an explicit motivation.

The whole culture around it is set up to make the women a visible status symbol: they drip designer clothes and swan around doing as little as possible. Their job is to look good, look after the children and keep their mouths shut (including not complaining if the footballer plays away). Most seem not to work and those who do do charity or work as "influencers" etc.

The women are generally not empowered within the marriage at all. They follow the husbands around from club to club and put their needs aside. Their financial needs are all met (and then some) and they never go without anything but the quid pro quo is they give up all their own power.

Nothing wrong with that if that's what you want. But you don't get to bellyache about not having autonomy in the marriage if you've made that kind of pact with the devil. That is what you signed up for. If you don't like being cheated on you're free to leave but you can't stick around and then complain if it happens again.

Yeah but it's probably the reason she stayed with him for so long. He was playing for England by the time he was 18.

I think people are just used to seeing sleazy, scummy behaviour from footballers.

I notice she didn't marry him until he was comfortably making big bucks though did she?

@Thepeopleversuswork or maybe she wanted to ensure security for herself after she'd already had three of his kids

The ship had sailed a bit by then though right? I’m a bit vague on the timeline but I think he had already shagged the OW and knocked her up by then, right?

So she knew he was an unreliable sleaze and married him for the money. For which I don’t blame her btw but spare me “childhood sweetheart” stuff. She knew he was awful but wanted to lock in her investment.

InAMess2023 · 14/01/2024 17:03

@Thepeopleversuswork they were separated when he fathered the first one

Agree that he's the biggest one to blame, but OW shagged him again after he refused to have anything to do with their first child and married his long term partner. At some point we as women do have to take some responsibility for bad decisions.

OhmygodDont · 14/01/2024 17:14

I don’t blame her for marrying him once they reconciled. I’d count that as getting her ducks in row tbh. She loved him but knows his a bit of a knob so a condition of trying again being marriage securing her and her children legally. Pretty smart if you are going to try again with a rich man let’s face it.

Ow just got jealous that she was forever the side piece.

His a knob who can’t keep his knob in his pants. More fool the ow for thinking she was getting the prize being the “secret family” booby prize maybe but certainly not a loyal family man just a pay cheque for her let’s face it.

Angrycat2768 · 14/01/2024 17:16

OW who believe these age old lines are being wilfully ignorant. Yes he is most to blame as he was the married one but from what I know of the OW she pursued footballers, any footballer, married or not to try and get pregnant by one. He was stupid and rich enough not to care as long as he could get his end away. And he went there again. She also publicly slagged off his wife. She is a vile person who is using her small children as a cashpoint.

dayswithaY · 14/01/2024 17:22

I don’t blame her for marrying the sleaze, she had three kids with him so she’s stuck with him in her life to a certain extent. Maybe she just wanted some security as she could see what was on the horizon. And maybe she wanted to elevate her status to wife as a “fuck you” to the OW.

LadyBird1973 · 14/01/2024 17:37

Personally I think any woman has a right to 'bellyache' about her husband cheating, regardless of what he does for a living or how much money the wife has at her disposal!

I think what's particularly distasteful is an ow getting pregnant purely to secure access to a rich man's money. To treat her own baby as a meal ticket is more grotesque than the cheating imo.
And that's why I believe the only way to stop a certain kind of woman from doing this is to not make it financially rewarding for her. The man should have to pay what it really costs to support his children and I'm all for having money put aside in trust for when the kids go to university or need a house deposit, but not buying the one a massive house and paying for her to live a luxury lifestyle. She should be on the hook for her own 50% of the cost of raising the baby.

Itsmeamandaberry · 14/01/2024 17:38

OutFromUnderYou · 13/01/2024 18:08

So many posts on here slagging off his wife but fewer slagging off his bit on the side. How odd.

The OW needs a good slagging off. I have read the court report ( no sure that's the right word) from when she took him to court for child support. Absolute scum bags the pair of them

Good for Annie, why the hell shouldn’t she ?

InAMess2023 · 14/01/2024 17:52

@LadyBird1973 she'd have a job tho when she only made £300 in a year as an 'influencer'. Not sure how many people would want to employ a convicted benefit cheat with questionable moral standing! Eek😬

Dacadactyl · 14/01/2024 17:54

Of course Annie would've been angling to marry him after he cheated. She's no fool. Marriage isn't about love, it's about security. Security she has none of if she's just a "partner".

I'd have been promising him the earth to get him down the aisle after he cheated...just so I could rinse him blind in a divorce.

Anjea · 14/01/2024 17:54

None of them look good. I'm sure that I read that Annie said she would only get back with him after they split, and the first baby was conceived if he never saw it didn't she? If so that's awful. It's a child. Then she did that 3 is the magic number post bragging about them making memories with their daddy.

It's all pretty grim.

Only married 2 years (together since teens) so that means he was back in the sack with OW within 6 months of wedding…

I worked with a guy who told me he wanted sex with me. I found out later he had got married two weeks before. Men can be bastards unfortunately

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 14/01/2024 18:00

You think the OW is worse than Kyle Walker because she is legally pursuing him for child support?

She didn’t get herself pregnant you know. No one forced Kyle to have unprotected sex with her regularly enough to produce two children.

She should be on the hook for her own 50% of the cost of raising the baby.

Well, a Judge didn’t agree with that. Kyle earns £700,000 a month. He doesn’t want to share any care for his children. The Judge decided that in fact, he does require to pay more than 50% of the bare costs of raising a child.
