To think it's tragic if Michael Jackson was indeed innocent

pregahes · 08/01/2024 21:53

It's a real shame for someone who created incredible music to have their legacy at risk. It’s just tragic, considering the impact his music had on so many. It's tragic either way, if he's guilty for the victims and if he's innocent for himself.

I'm a huge fan and at one point t thought he was guilty but kore recently change of heart. I think there would be more victims if he weee in fact guilty. Somethings doesnt add up.

It's tragic

Be that as it may this is a thread about MJ, not your ignorance of the CJS.

Makes me wonder if he had never been famous in the first place, would he have done these questionable things?

So my BFF is a psychologist who works with adult victims of CSA. She says that her patients almost exclusively come to her after they have their first child. Having children is a big trigger for CSA victims (as it was for me) because for many it’s the first time they can step out their sphere and think “holy fuck I would never want that to happen to my child!” And they have the lightbulb moment.

Exactly.

I'm not a psychologist but I've seen this for myself on MN and elsewhere. So many women only realise the truth about what they were subjected to when their eldest child or first daughter reaches the age they themselves were when they were abused.

I was hoping we could have an informative discussion and I was appreciating your replies but I don't understand why you always have to get that personal dig in. It's unnecessary. If you want to educate people, do it in a kind way. Making insulting comments is never going to get people on your side. I do understand the justice system, more than you realise but I was asking your views on it.

Sorry my bad, I didn't Google before I wrote.

But ill even say to sing that song and it to be his favourite, as it is mine...
I because of that song try to be the best that I can and thats only down to listening it time and time again.

I believe , that for it to be his song , to sing it and it to be his favourite.

I believe he is innocent.

Seriously? You only try to be a good person because of a song?

From this post you sound simple minded.

I don’t think he would have been given the same access to children if he wasn’t famous. Parents wouldn’t have allowed him to have sleepovers with their children or hang out with them all the time. The parents and children wouldn’t have been as susceptible to being groomed.

I’m nearly 40 and I wouldn’t testify against the man who raped me as a child. I certainly wouldn’t have done as a child.

So amused to hear that doing so would be empowering by a pedophile apologist on this thread though Hmm

Same with me. Im 50 now. I was verbally attacked on a csa Facebook group when I said I hadn't reported him. I was told I wasn't protecting his future victims. I can't do it. The fall out would be horrendous.

Thank you. I came off the group and felt so guilty. But I can't do it. I know that is so selfish of me. So so sorry what happened to you too. Also I saw your reply earlier about how many csa survivors don't really talk about it until they have children. I blocked out so much. When my first dd turned the age I was it was like a punch to my stomach. I have 3 DDs and felt sick each time they turned that age. I really hope he never hurt anyone again. I don't think he did.

WingingItSince1973 · 10/01/2024 00:33

Also one more thing that's just come to mind for all those abuser apologists. When my db died 18 years ago my mother invited my step dad to my brothers funeral. He had the audacity to come up to me and say hello and shook my hand. And you know what I did? I shook it back. Then spent the day with him in the same place as me as I didn't want to make anyone feel uncomfortable. This is what they do!!! Even as a 32 year old I still felt like a 6 year old again. Right I need to put my phone away and sleep.

Mindblowing the number of people who think there plausibly could be a perfectly innocent explanation as to why a grown man was so keen to share his bed with multiple little pre-pubescent boys.

Mindblowing.

This is one reason why CSA is so common. The fuckers can do it in plain sight and there are way too many who will make excuses for them, no matter what.

I think even if there was video evidence of him abusing them, some people on here would find a way to deny it. “Oh he was just being affectionate/giving him first aid/teaching him about male bonding,” or god knows what; take your heads our of your arses, people.

This. I feel sickened by some posts. Too many people have No idea what grooming is and how abusers work. He even changed his voice to sound childlike FFS! Those poor boys.

pregahes · 09/01/2024 22:25

@Itsmychristmasdress can you be more specific, it wasn't porn I read but artwork and secret rooms I think I'd have if I were famous to be honest - I'd be worried a maid would spy on me or something. And that doesn't mean I'd be doing anything weird but I would VERY paranoid if I were famous

There were books showing pictures of naked children. You can call that “artwork”, I call it child sexual abuse material

nolongersurprised · 10/01/2024 04:03

I don’t feel like the OP is interacting in good faith. Why call picture of naked children “artwork”?

Riverlee · 10/01/2024 04:26

It is true what they say about MN, it has some highly toxic people that are abusive to others through a screen.

I put a simple reason up initially as I didn't know this was going to be blown out of all proportion to a 600+ thread.

I have time nor inclination like others to write reams.

But my belief he is innocent stems from much more than that which really I don't care to argue about with the likes of Mn.

I am allowed to believe what I like.

Now run along and people bash someone else. Ive got to get ready for work and out the door.

Have you heard the maid’s witness account? There is no way he is innocent. I don’t think there is any grey area here. His music turns my stomach and the fact more shows being put on about him. You’re not a relative by any chance??

It turns my stomach too. People often find ways to excuse their heroes

I will tell you who is toxic . It is Michael Jackson , he was the abusive one .

Pedophile apologists

elgreco · 10/01/2024 08:39

I think it's tragic that he abused children. I think it's tragic that he bought children. I think it's tragic that he got away with it.

To be fair you did rather give the impression that you don’t have much understanding of the justice system if you didn’t know that victim testimonies are often the only evidence there is in a CSA case (especially historic ones). You asked for clarification on that as if you didn’t believe it (as opposed to asking for others’ views on it).

So actually there are lots of reasons you think MJ is innocent but instead of sharing these, you decided to just post the one about his song lyrics because you didn’t have much time and you also didn’t know the thread was going to be so big.

Sorry, this sounds rather silly.

Well the immense fame gave hum the protection to pick and choose his his victims and protect him from repercussions
When I first saw the interview with Martin Bashir I really did believe that he was a man trapped in the mind if a,ten year old
But after watching leaving Never land a few years ago the testimony, s of those men were so graphic and disturbing,I believe them
Hid game and money allowed him to build up.his child like persona and to whatever he wanted within plain sight .
