One less to potentially kill an innocent child.

This

Marian220 · 09/01/2024 10:54

So heartbreaking to think of the suffering she must have gone through. RIP now Juno

Marian220 · 09/01/2024 10:57

All the people who are celebrating in this poor dogs death, it says a lot about you.
humanely euthanised is one thing, multiple stab wounds to an innocent animal (who we don’t know committed any crime at all ??). No excuse. Shame on you for rejoicing in that.

I know, imagine actually being that much of a cunt, I feel very sorry for them tbh.

TheProblemBlob · 09/01/2024 11:26

The photo of the dead dog doesn't show it "covered in blood" as the report says. I think there's probably quite a bit that's gone a bit Chinese whispers.

The fact is that dogs shouldn't be rehomed or sold in this way, that's clear.

Megifer · 09/01/2024 11:29

The report doesn't say the photo shows the blood does it? It says the dog was found covered in blood. The photo I've seen does show blood on the sheet and I imagine the dog isn't 2d so there was probably blood on the other side.

Both cats and orcas take pleasure from torturing and playing with their still living food before they finally kill it.

Humans are grim for breeding weird dogs which wouldn’t and couldn’t exist naturally and then insisting on keeping them in weird domestic relationships.

We should not keep pets, we should not breed frankenstein animals, and we should destroy all dogs which a toddler can’t beat in a fight.

Neither cats nor orcas are killing 'for pleasure'- they are amoral & respond to instinctive motor patterns when presented with appropriate stimuli, eg: prey.

The people (usually animal haters or those who dislike a certain species) who argue about the lack of sentience of animals are almost always the same people who will then go on to say 'cats are so cruel, they kill for fun'.

So which is it?

Because you can't have it both ways.

Stop attributing human constructed values on other species to suit your agenda.

Mayjune11 · 09/01/2024 13:42

Unpopular opinion but all xl bullies should be humanely out to sleep. They are an abomination. Not their fault but I would gladly see them disappear.

MalcolmTuckersSwearBox · 09/01/2024 15:52

I don't think that's an unpopular opinion @Mayjune11. I think the key word in your post is 'humanely'.

I think it’s irresponsible for dogs to exist in society which can kill people of any age or size. You might as well allow people to keep panthers on the end of a bit of string.

By all means have a dog, but one a toddler could easily defeat if the dog decided to pick a fight.

Sure have you seen a chihuahua no bloody man can defend themselves never mind a toddler ffs.

Dullardmullard · 09/01/2024 16:06

I hate humans at times and this thread attests to it.

monster, fantastic shouldn’t be uttered as Luna was stabbed not humanely euthanised she’d of been in a lot pain. She suffered but yeah let’s say she’s a monster when you have no idea.

you should hang your heads in shame

then into the sea that chihuahua goes along with the others. pet dogs are optional and do not need to pose an additional threat to any members of human society.

What the dog lovers are missing is its exactly the sort of people who own xls who did this and carry knives, like they hold xl bullies as weapons. It wasn't a nice law abiding mn who hates digs, it was an xl owner / rehomer.

They are scum.

I suspect many posters are lying about kids as well, as if random kids approach dogs near enough to kick. More like their parents try to keep them away but the owners let them run up / let them off lead in parks so you can't play anywhere but the kids bit even though parks are meant to be where teenagers can play football, hang out. The dog lovers would rather teenagers were in gangs than had somewhere to be. No surprises though, they own big dogs so are highly likely to be very selfish.

Sorry we dog lovers are not lying about kids approaching the dogs and trying to swipe them or smack them and no we don’t let our dogs run at kids ffs. We also, don’t let them off leash either to annoy others

it’s only in the land of MNs they do which is bullshit

not every corner has a large breed dog on it waiting to attack someone ffs

Something similar happened in London where a mutilated corpse of an XL bully was found down a back road.

These people are disgusting. If the dog is dangerous and posing a threat to human life then it needs to be PTS humanely

It's a possibility that this dog was killed in self defense by it's owner, who didn't want to report anything happened because then they'd have to admit to carrying a knife and having a dangerous dog.

Luckily your not in charge!

Let's also ban cars, trains, horses, cows, refrigerators, stairs, all things that cause serious injury.

At least say ' an dogs an adult can't fight off' lol

So why did:

  • A dog’s head suddenly appear between my (then) toddler’s legs while he was sitting on a picnic bench and eat his sandwich out of his hands ?
  • A dog start pulling the nappy of the same kid on a beach ?
  • A dog run around a pub beer garden frightening all the kids so that I had to grab it by the collar and march it out on its hind legs (to shame it) ?
  • A dog come haring out of a car boot when I was running and nip at my calves ?
  • A dog jump up at my aggressively when running recently and didn’t leave when the owner eventually called its name ?

If dog “lovers” are ao responsible, then why do I continue to have shitty experiences caused by them ? My kid needed a course of therapy to overcome the fear of dogs instilled by these unwanted approaches and intrusive aggressive furry twats. Sorry I mean furbabies.

I can't believe some of the comments on here!
The poor puppy was only 8 months old fed ecstasy (I've seen the cunts fb page) not edible cannabis then stabbed in the neck absolutely shocking my heart breaks for that poor puppy 😭
Some of the pp's are complete cunts!

It was inevitable this was going to happen sadly.
Facebook is full of ads for the dogs. There's no vetting of new homes, no suitability checks. Dog fighting is still a thing and they are the perfect dogs to do it. Fucking awful.

Actually dog fighters prefer the smaller, more agile, pitbull types.

He has a few pages. The dog was rehomed from England and I will stand by my earlier posts, if people couldn’t keep their dogs due to the new regulations or rehome them with someone they knew, they shouldn’t have sent them to Scotland. Many “hero’s” were collecting these dogs from homes in England and transporting them to homes in Scotland - all done through ‘rescues’ who hadn’t done home checks. This dog ended in up in a shit hole of a flat and had been rehomed with someone who had already abused animals. The dog was put on FB for sale before Christmas (although it had only arrived in Scotland in November).

Anyone who rehomes a dog not having done home checks on where it’s going is equally to blame for this imo. Scotland is not a safe haven for these dogs, God knows what people thought sending them up here - did they expect them to be roaming free on the bonny bonny banks of Loch Lomond all playing in XL Bully heaven? We already have enough of them up here and now Scotland is literally being flooded with them.

I’m not a fan of the breed, in fact I’d be more than happy to see similar regulations up here on keeping them but there is no excuse for animal abuse. Whoever sent that dog up here needs to shoulder some of the blame for this. This will be the first of many incidents in Scotland due to feckless owners trying to save dogs they bought and couldn’t cope with the new regulations.

TheLogicalSong · 09/01/2024 17:29

The XL Bully dogs are in no way to blame, even those that have attacked humans. The blame lies with breeders and irresponsible owners. I'm shocked that some here are applauding the abuse of an animal. Humanely destroying a dangerous dog is one thing - torturing one to death surely cannot be condoned by any sane person.

No, it’s not a response of the ban, it’s a response of the majority of people who own these dogs who didn’t give a shit about anything other than how ‘hard they looked’ with that bred and the occasional earthy mama who thought she was a spirit warrior who could talk to the animals and connect with them like they were one 🙄 … all ego on the owners part…shit dog owners attracted to that beeed for their own shitty reasons … nothing to do with the ban

This 100%

GrandTheftWalrus · 09/01/2024 18:26

Yesterday there was a large dog trying to lunge at my 2yo but the owner had it under control. It could've been friendly or wanted to eat her but owner took the dog away fine.

Then tonight a dog that looked very like an xl bully walked past my 2 dds and my 7yo was scared and came behind me. But the dog never even glanced in their direction. Again owner was in control.

But that's 2 large dogs in 2 days I've seen here and have barely noticed any before. And yes I'm in Scotland.
