What are you doing tonight if it's just you and your partner?

I've been married for 18 years. My DH and I have decided to spend new year at home just the two of us as we will be working tomorrow (self employed!)

We don't seem to have fun together anymore. We just go through the motions.

We don't laugh as much. :(

I'd love some inspiration and to hear about how you are spending this evening if it's just you and your partner.

We’re away on a little mini break without our children, so we had dinner out, went on a nice waterside walk (we’re staying on a small Island) and we were watching an episode of fellow travellers when it struck new year. My husband is now asleep on the sofa, so I’ll be waking him up soon so I can get him to bed.

Dealing with the remnants of a two-day hangover , so we stayed in, played Exploding Kittens with DD, watched Rick Astley, toasted the New Year with a cup of tea and then stood in the garden to watch the neighbour's fireworks.

It was honestly one of our best!

We are both ill so had our 2nd NYE with just the two of us in 23 years. Was lovely in a low key way. We should have been at a lovely party but not tonight. We has m&s meal deal and I had a lovely bottle of wine. Just off to bed now. Not bad as we couldn't barely get out of bed today.

We had a "dance party" with DC until about 9pm then put them to bed, tidied up then popped the champagne and played Ticket to Ride then Monogamy was brought out.
He came to bed 5 mins earlier than me and was already snoring by the time I got here so now I am eating cheesestrings and Christmas biscuits and watching Netflix.
Diet starts tomorrow...it isn't tomorrow yet right?
