To ask if you think I’ve just been scammed?

I think I have and I feel sooo stupid.

I followed an Instagram as for the Space Nk 2023 advent calendar advertised as now being 45.99. Website looked like the Space NK website. I ordered and paid.

My receipt to my email said the payment would appear as to ‘leggingsoutlet’ svuch seemed very odd. I checked the website again and it’s Soace NK outlet not actual Space NK.

I’ve been scammed haven’t I?

I fell for this too & I feel such a fool. Thought I was getting Jo Malone perfume from John Lewis. I can't believe I fell for it but I did.
Like pps I only realised when I saw the payment was to Leggingsretails. I knew then it was too good to be true just wish I'd thought a bit sooner.
I've raised it with my credit card's fraud department so I might be refunded eventually but I'm not holding my breath.

I fell for this too – first time ever! Got a refund almost immediately after seeking it from Revolut but know it’s more complicated with mainstream banks. I also got a dispatch mail after the refund. Such a murky and unpleasant world out there in the internet! Learned a big lesson re following Instagram links and taking time to check urls.

Ordered a white good for my kitchen. Paid over £400. Had confirmation email, dispatch emails etc then nothing turned up. Emailed the company numerous times, had responded of it had been dispatched, it’s been held up etc.

Had to forward all communication to Lloyds who refunded me after 2 weeks had gone by from the supposed delivery date.

I saw the exact same ad! Added loads of things to my basket as couldn’t believe how cheap everything was…. Decided to go onto my laptop to order through my spacenk account and surprise surprise those prices didn’t exist !! So lucky I didn’t get to checkout but the bank will definitely pay you back. I also contacted spacenk and reported the scam website. I think they knew about it and were dealing with it! These scammers make me so angry !!!!

I found it when I was googling the fictional ‘Space NK outlet’ that I’d never heard off and luckily managed to dodge the bullet. Have also reported ad as a scam to IG.

They got me too, yes it's a fraudulent site , assholes

That's a great idea. I've just been scammed by Xarahomeoffical. Ffs 🤦‍♀️ no excuse except I was swept along by a friend.
And yes had I stopped for a moment I would have realised if it's too good to be true ....

I just had a message from IG this morning saying they don't have any problem with the ad and have not removed it. Shocking. I'm guessing this is entirely automated and they don't use any humans to evaluate or check.

I will message Space NK on IG and let them know - perhaps they will have more influence!

I've actually been refunded from leggingsoutlet! I did cancel my card straight away, messaged them via their site a few times, refusing order. Full refund within 5 days. I'm pleased but amazed!

Try and demand a refund, they refunded me.

That's so disappointing from IG. I get that it's a bit like whack-a-mole - these scam ads are now so prevalent - but sounds like they're wilfully ignoring them.

I was taken in by a fake Joules one a few months ago. Luckily realised something was amiss when it came to authorising the payment on my banking app and the name of the retailer was something completely random, and posted here about it. I rejected the payment, messaged the bank, and within minutes the bank had changed my card details so it couldn't be used elsewhere.
Grateful for the new style of bank card that doesn't have any visible numbers on it, meaning you can refresh the details without any hassle. @Adventscam - I expect your bank are all over that but worth checking if you're not sure.

Same. I have done the same. I am going to try and get back from credit card company. It’s being shipped from China so must be fakes!

I did the same and today have had brushing scam purchase delivered, I know this company have sold my details as I made a typo in my name for my order and the same typo is on the delivery of this ring, that I didn’t order. Has anyone else had this? I’m worried how far my data has been sold

anyone that has been scammed by leggingsoutlet - keep messaging them demanding a refund very directly and assertively whilst telling them lots of people are reporting them as scammers. I have finally managed to get a refund.

I was also scammed by a similar but different one off Instagram. You cannot trust the adverts there at all.

Would you mind sharing the email address you used? I tried and my email was returned unsent.

I just kept messaging via their order page, was refunded within 5 days.

Was it a scam? I’ve just come across the as too if FB and nearly purchased but thought I’d do a little digging first!!

I got as far as payment just now and fortunately the credit card payment page alerted me to a potential scam so have googled over here. I've been emailed by the scammers inviting me to complete the order and the full email address bears no relation to Space NK. Does anyone know if my home address details will be held by them even tho I didn't complete the order- they obviously have my email address? Or whether I should do anything else to protect myself?
I also feel like an idiot even tho I didn't complete the order and wasted a good hour excitedly filling my basket! Can't believe it's still active on IG in spite of being reported.
