Let's just rid the world of sprouts

I know MN love pretending that they like them. But nobody is impressed by your lies. Nobody wants them on the plate. So let's improve the world and rid it of these devil cabbages.

And don't try and ruin bacon by frying them together.

Hated them as a child when only bitter varieties existed that were boiled to within an inch of their lives.
Now I love them. Raw (excellent in a slaw), steamed, stir-fried, as soon as they are in season I'm in! YABVU OP.

They're OK. I don't mind them. Quite acceptable. Wouldn't seek them out. Wouldn't turn them down. Don't have a strong opinion, really.

One of my great memories is when I served up the first sprouts of the season and my younger daughter, then aged about 8, exclaimed "hooray. I love sprouts"!

I don't really follow a recipe. I parboil and then halve and shallow fry as many sprouts as we have in garlic oil, with some crushed garlic cloves, until they're golden brown. Then I add some veg stock and stir in salt, pepper, blue cheese, marmite and brown sugar and then, when they've boiled for a minute, whizz it down until smooth whilst stirring in some single cream.
