yeah know what you mean, hideous jingle too

mummynumber2 · 15/03/2008 15:05

No yanbu. Makes me shudder everytime I hear it.

bobsyouruncle · 15/03/2008 15:07

jingle gets stuck in your head too. Effective advertising though as dd asks "can I get those shoes and makeup?" Eh... no.

BoysOnToast · 15/03/2008 15:07

reasonable or not, i have the same reaction. bleaurgh

Lulumama · 15/03/2008 15:07

i buy them for DD. i give the lippy to a much oder child however... the ad is tad nauseating, but the shoes are lovely

Lulumama · 15/03/2008 15:07

*older, not oder!!

Carnival · 15/03/2008 15:08

I not only shudder, but hide my purse - £32 for a pair of blinking trainers!

lulu!

right i shall be sending dd some tasteful little converse or vans or summat forthwith!

Lulumama · 15/03/2008 15:17

i/m sorry ! but they are sparkly and pink and cute

in my defence, yer honour, she has converse ( i have matching ones!) and crocs so, not all bad....

wooga · 15/03/2008 15:21

I hate that ad too!
My 3 yr old dd wanted some of those because there's a bribe free toy,got brought out with selection of shoes in her size-too expensive!

Rosa · 15/03/2008 15:33

In Jan they were the only slightly summery shoe I could get for dd ( age2) to take on holiday. Gave the lip gloss to cousin. dd loved ( and still does ) the sparkly shoes and we left a trail of sequins in the posh hotel. When went to get her more winter shoes she made a beeline for them in the shop......HELP !
If it makes you feel any better the original song is in Italian and it grates as well.

Pennies · 15/03/2008 15:38

I think that some of those shoes look like someone's already vomited on them for you.

messagedeleted · 15/03/2008 15:39

i want some of htose
i love em

lottiejenkins · 15/03/2008 15:44

Lulumama · 15/03/2008 15:45

well, DD looks sweet in hers

ThingOne · 15/03/2008 15:48

I would have thought it entirely unreasonable not to want to vomit every time the advert comes on. Gawd I'm pissed off my four year old has finally discovered there are channels other than CBeebies ... Thankfully I have boys.

WallOfSilence · 15/03/2008 15:48

Lulu!

She has lelli kellys & crocs?

Poor, poor little raggamuffin

burdened with a mother who has bad taste....

Nbg · 15/03/2008 15:49

Last year I managed to fob dd off with a pair of clarks doodles saying they were Lelli Kellys but then she sussed me out and nagged and nagged and nagged for a true pair of foot monsters.

We ended up with some gold velcro things which have fortunatley now got holes in.

Shame.

Lulumama · 15/03/2008 15:49

you are judging me now too!

chacun a son gout !

have just found a website with baby birkenstocks..........

SheikYerbouti · 15/03/2008 16:12

DS1 want some

ibelieveindreaming · 15/03/2008 16:24

YANBU, likely both my dd's also dislike the advert and have both said they wouldn't want a pair.

DANCESwithaMuffinTop · 15/03/2008 16:32

No they are awful (sorry Lulu) but they are AWFUL.

BarcodeZebra · 15/03/2008 19:10

More to the point: £35 for a pair of tiny plimsolls? Fuck off.

KimiKilledTheEasterBunny · 15/03/2008 19:14

You are not alone I hate these ads
