...I think they are really useful, cos when DD says "oh look you get extra stuff" I can say "if someone has to give away other things in order to get you to buy their main product the likelihood is the actual product is rubbish otherwise they would not have to give free gifts to persuade you to buy it" which is a really good lesson in how to work out marketing tricks and recognise tat when you see it.

BoysOnToast · 15/03/2008 19:18

oh mamalulu, i am not judging you. i am questioning (rhetorically) your taste in little shoes for your dd. 'sdifferent innit

(im sure she looks delightful in them, honest )

dizzydixies · 15/03/2008 19:22

lulu am with you on this one, ordered a pair for both dd's and they're lovely and dd1 loves hers - nothing to do with free toy or advert, just the fact she has pretty, glittery shoes that are sensible enough to wear rather than the tat you could buy

the ads ARE shite, the shoes are not

(except the metallic ones which are bogging lol)

TheAntiFlounce · 15/03/2008 19:24

Buy them a pair of cheap plimsoles, buy fabric glue and sequins, release the child upon the shoes with a flourish.

dizzydixies · 15/03/2008 19:26

you carry on AntiFlounce but I don't feel need to not treat the girls to some sensible sparkly shoes when I can do - am also not that artistic and they would end up looking like someone had thrown up on them

TheAntiFlounce · 15/03/2008 19:37

No no not for you to do, for them to do. they love things like that.

MissyTheFlouncer · 15/03/2008 19:38

i find it hialrious the mouth sync is awful!

MissyTheFlouncer · 15/03/2008 19:39

hilarious

Reallytired · 15/03/2008 19:58

The other day my son was being really awkward in a shoe shop. I theatened to buy him some "Leli Kelly shoes". His behaviour improved within seconds.

Thank gawd I got a boy!

Lulumama · 15/03/2008 20:01

nkf · 15/03/2008 20:03

I haven't seen the ads but I, ahem, rather like the shoes. I mean, not like exactly. More like adore. I know nothing about them but they are just so very shiny that they make me smile. There! I've said it now. Haven't ever bought a pair but might this year. Do they come in adult sizes?

chirpycherrycake · 15/03/2008 20:21

Can I ask, where are these shoes made?

BoysOnToast · 15/03/2008 20:23

tinylady · 15/03/2008 20:26

I have never heard of these products

Lulumama · 15/03/2008 20:27

sorkycake · 15/03/2008 20:28

Ds is hounding me for those feckin shoes

he's 4!

Funnily enough Dd laughed at him and said they looked like someone had barfed on them

Lulumama · 15/03/2008 20:28

Nemoandthefishes · 15/03/2008 20:32

uk.youtube.com/watch?v=nCXqyg7p_ow

tinylady · 15/03/2008 20:37

I don't think it's that bad. What's wrong with the shoes?

Nemoandthefishes · 15/03/2008 20:42

I am not that bothered by the shoes in themselves bit glitzy and am sure at some point at least one of the dds will ask for them..I just dont like the face full of makeup like a pagent queen

BoysOnToast · 15/03/2008 20:46

aw she sounds adorable.

i shall send you all 3 of mine in return.

in fact, keep the dd too and i'll just go shopping for cute stuff and you can dress them all in it. im not cut out for this parenting lark. im too stroppy. you are much nicer, they'll like it with you.

tinylady · 15/03/2008 20:47

I didn't think the make up was that full on

Lulumama · 15/03/2008 20:49

i can strop too.. esepcially today, with a hangover.... but a brood of lovely blonde boys sounds fun!
