Has anyone watched the BBC interview this morning?
AIBU to think there is no way the pair of them are convincing anyone that they have done nothing wrong?

I thought she sounded like a real wee hairy Mary with a face more frozen than a pack of Iceland fish fingers.

And those were her better points. Grin

Dido Harding? Nobody with any sense would give any sort of task to that woman. From what I have heard there was almost no contact tracing done. The money should have gone to existing public health departments.
Covid testing at universities. I know several students who were sent "results" when they had queued so long they gave up and went back to their rooms. Tax payers paid for those tests that weren't done. I bet that my friends' kids weren't the only ones.

Indeed, yet another member of Bunter’s venal chumocracy gorging themselves stupid at the trough.

I know her. She is a liar and a very aggressive litigious one at that.

@Ebokebok you have to say more than that!

I think one of the things this shows is a need to reform the libel laws, as they are used still to bully people into silence. I would make certain defamatory statements a criminal not civil offence, there I assume can be a suitable punishment when convicted, not damages which can bankrupt anyone, even if they can prove a successful defence.

I really can't. She knew exactly what she was doing though. This is no error of judgement or oversight (re PPE). She knew exactly what she was doing. I can't say any more about PPE but I also know her via the IOM and her crypto dealings there. She is a piece of work.

100% agree we need libel reform, but not keen on making criminal. As we have seen many claims made for which libel redress was obtained have later turned out to be valid - especially after the death of the person has made it easier to speak the truth. Robert Maxwell, Savile, just a couple off the top of my head.

Utterly pathetic, isn't it? I'm not surprised, though. She is the ultimate crybully who loves to play the victim, it has been her MO throughout her entire life, from what I can tell.

I am, like many others, utterly furious and outraged at the number of people who died. Including, and especially, nhs staff who had no ppe. It isn't just the money. It is the total lack of concern for people's lives. There was a doctor who tried desperately to raise this and he ended up dead. This was while my friend was trying to get nhs trusts to order the ppe they were making. All their products went to Taiwan, Switzerland and NZ. None of it was bought by the nhs. It was deliberate, calculated fraud.

Before that first shipment of useless PPE arrived from Türkiye, I had been phoning the Cabinet Office, the health secretary and shadow HS's offices, my MP and even a national radio station. I also emailed my MP on numerous occasions. My long time friend who at that time owned a legitimate manufacturing company and had been supplying the NHS since the 1990s had been offering PPE to the NHS for weeks and was constantly told by the usual customers that they were not allowed to place orders. We could not understand why this long term company, with an excellent track record, could not get to speak to anyone. (My friend was invited to participate in a Panorama documentary about the PPE scandal but was intimidated and declined).
I was ignored by all the people I tried to speak to, shouted down and ridiculed by the radio station, shouted down by people on mumsnet.
Yet here we are.

God, that's making me cry.

Lives being lost for the lack of PPE. Long-term health problems from long covid. PTSD in health staff.

But to these grifters it's all just an opportunity for profit.

How do people spend that sort of money? Can only have so many meals a day.
Unless for them the joy is just looking at the figures of the cash they have gained for doing very little

Well they have luxury yacht, which she was bragging about on Instagram, so that's one way. I bet they have several homes too, travel first class, designer gear and all that surgery she has must cost a fair bit. He clearly hasn't spent anything on his appearance though - with all his billions you'd think he could find a shirt that covers his huge gut!

I know very little about Brady, I remember seeing her on the Apprentice (which I haven't watched for a very very long time) She isn't as bad as Mone, surely? What has she done?
