Mrs Doubtfire

Aside from the obvious he literally tries to kill Pierce Brosnan.

Great movie though!

Since my divorce and that YouTube horror version this film disturbs me to the core.

Let's not forget his son walking in on him in the toilet. 😑

Pretty in Pink is a shocking film to rewatch

As is Autumn in New York

There are many more films with questionable moments, but these two stick out to me as having their entire premise based on seriously inappropriate behaviour

Is Autumn in New York the one where Richard Gere beds a woman half his age and tells her in the morning he can’t have a serious relationship because he’s not that kind of guy, and she says ‘That’s fine, I’m not up for a relationship either, because I’m dying of a brain tumour!’

Yes; even worse is that Winona Ryder’s character is the daughter of Gere’s dead ex-girlfriend!

Any film where the main character is a shitty husband and father who has to "win" his family back through ridiculous behaviour that's somehow supposed to be adorable. Liar Liar and Mrs Doubtfire (rhyming unintentional!) spring to mind.

The Spy Next Door. Jackie Chan snogging Amber Valletta is just 🤢

DH and I watched the1995 film Haunted on TPTV last night. It wasn't so much the plot that mindboggled us as the content. It is a horror film that is basically an excuse for a young Kate Beckinsdale to continually get her kit off. The director even shoe-horned in the fact that her artist brother constantly painted her topless even though that was not in the novel by James Herbert that the film was based on. She or her body double are topless a lot and occasionally fully naked - none of the men are shown undressed. It was quite shocking especially as KB was only 22 at the time (but looked younger) and the men who she has a relationship with were much older. Aiden Quinn who becomes her lover was 36 and Anthony Andrews, her brother who she has an incestuous relationship with, was 47. It is not a scary horror but a titillating one - especially for men. Yuk
