To think (generationally) wealthy people are better looking?

Yes, there are many men who would have married the 'homely' neighbour in order to join land or for alliance reasons.

But very often, a wealthy man 'gets to pick' a beautiful woman. Over several generations, surely this results in a better looking family overall. Whereas we plebs occasionally are randomly good looking, but not in the same way as a family with generation after generation of 'beauty injections' to their gene pool.

Nah looks and wealth are not closely related. People with very low incomes might not be able to afford cosmetic procedures or expensive product, but they might be naturally beautiful like anyone else. Rich folk can be ugly naturally or full of filler 😂

Who is the one good looking offspring of Elizabeth and Philip? They are all pretty awful looking.

@zaazaazoo Edward was very handsome as a young man, but those Windsor genes trampled over Phillips slightly better ones the second he turned 30. Same thing happened to Diana’s Spencer genes, in William.

but judging by our royal family (older royals) and May of our aristocratic families no it’s not true

I'm not going to name names as that's cruel but there are certainly some celebrity offspring I can think of that are a bit odd looking.

Honestly the worship of posh people on this site is just sad.

150 years or so ago the Dutch were one of the SHORTEST people. After the Italians I believe. The time frame till now can not be explained by genetics

Not by mine. I think she is very plain. She is well groomed and (too) thin but that's about it.

Some people think that Randy Andy was good looking. He wasn't (being a nonce notwithstanding) but that is probably who they meant.

I don’t get the hype around KM either, but a lot people equate very thin with beauty.

Brooklyn Beckham, for one (although I don't really think that Victoria is beautiful, to be fair) Romeo and Harper are the only decent looking Beckham offspring. The Law kids are pretty plain IMO. Lila Moss Hack would not be modelling if it weren't for her surname. She isn't ugly, but she looks more like her father (and TBH I think Kate is overrated as well, anyway)

I don't know where you live that 'most people' don't look as good as Kate M, but I disagree. I see better looking women than her every day, and I don't think I live in a city of outstanding beauties.

I’ve seen Kate Moss in real life & there’s something about her but obviously she is incredibly photogenic. Iris Law is pretty. I’ve seen Victoria & David years ago, he was really good looking, she was just very thin & average facially but she’s had work now.

Iris is better than Rafferty, true enough. I still don't think she would be a model if she wasn't a nepo, though. Victoria has never been a beauty, just very well groomed.

Boss eyed and thick knecked with coarse wild hair think Boris Johnson and most Royal Family who often have to marry beauty as they're pig ugly.

I'm absolutely no royalist but Kate M (presumably still talking Middleton as this point as Kate Moss has just entered the discussion) can't be described as "very plain". She's certainly polished up but even without that, she is not "very plain".

I never thought Diana was beautiful either. But with the right grooming and knowing how to work the camera etc, she could glow somehow.

I remember a documentary about David Beckham about 20 odd years ago and his parents were definitely not lookers.

I am talking about Middleton (I think Moss is overrated but wouldn't go so far as to call her plain) and I disagree with you. She is not naturally pretty at all. She isn't ugly either, so the correct word is plain. She is smart, well dressed, and well groomed, but she is very very far from being a beauty, despite all the fawning the Daily Mail does over her.

I would say that the Middletons are better looking than average. Michael Middleton is in his 70s and still looks good.

I know that I could be better looking if I had more money, I would ditch the box dyes and get a professional colour for a start, buy top notch food, get well cut quality clothes and drastically reduce stress with no money worries.

This thread title made me think of Made in Chelsea .At first glance you think they are all beautiful wealthy people but take way the expensive , stylish clothes , glossy and long locks , highly made up but natural make up look they are pretty ordinary really. Exception to the rule Sam Thompson naturally handsome and a lovely person. Yes I am biased but always thought he stood out on that show along with Maeva.

@VanityDiesHard if KM is ‘plain’ albeit, pleasantly, then most of us are plug ugly. I find it absurd to suggest she’s below average looks wise. She certainly can look very striking.

I think Kate M is pretty, not stunning she has beautiful hair. Her mum is very good looking and has something about her she certainly isn’t from money. Her sister has that too

I think confidence is often attractive few very wealthy people lack confidence ds private school has certainly armed him with confidence

we have a town hakf an hour away and our ds has always said .. mum why is everyone ( not really everyone but a trend) ugly from…

Thinking about it .. that town ..large number s in track suits that are not well fitted, scaped back hair , men a bit aggressive looking tho likely not. Quite a lot if drugs and most shops are pound shop tyoe . No were to actually buy / look at clothes of different types.. except one shop - tk max .
