You're going to have to lsoe it or change it.

I watched it at school on film and remember the whole class crying.

Charlottes web 2 isn't as sad.

ahundredtimes · 14/03/2008 13:00

lol.

You didn't know that?

No the crying is good, you've both got to cry and then hug and then cry a bit more and tuck him in confident that it was a tragic story well told.

Haven't read it. But I cried when Sophie's grandmother died in the Sophie books. DD was a bit sad, but not nearly as much as I was.

Y.A.B.U . I never post in this topic. That is sad

sherby · 14/03/2008 13:01

why are you in AIBU?

never read it, but I skip the wolf eating granny in red riding hood so DD doesn't get upset

he asks her to leave instead

ahundredtimes · 14/03/2008 13:01

dd and I cried when we read The Dolls House. The daft doll's hair caught fire and she went up in flames, sacrificed herself for the good of the house and little boy Apple.

[sniff]

She still talks about it.

It's a spider! They die. Get over it.

Did that help ?

No. My DCs didn't cry. They're hard they are. I suspect I did a little though...

You have ruined this book for me.

I was in the middle of it.

Just you be more sensitive about your thread titles in future, ho.

Oh yes you MUST brave it, that's why everyone likes the story because it's so sad, and she is so noble.

I think crying books are good.

Though dd and I are reading The Naughtiest Girl in the School.

Oh my.

Whyteleafe School is so progressive. I had no idea.

Avoid Little Women as well.
